One of the most commonly asked questions when it comes to a UTV or any off road vehicle for that matter is just how big of a tire can you fit on there stock? Well we got with Moto Race Tire and Muscle Race wheels to install a set of their 37" MRT XRoxx DD tires on the new forged 18" Muscle Race Wheels Beadlocks to see if a bone stock Pro R can take it. If you know anything about myself as a driver you know I will not cut it any slack. I don't think there is a single UTV before this test that I would even think of trying this with. Will the Pro R on 37s break a Belt, Driveshaft, or axle first? Stay tuned and find out!

Great machine, in it's element. Hardcore trails, that machine just isn't suited for it. The design doesn't allow for high clearance a arms (shocks mount to lower a arm) and won't make it easy to have high clearance trailing arms due to the toe link design which runs through them. Plus doesn't help those tires have no traction. However, on a track with the right tires, the machine is a weapon...same thing out in the desert. But on hardcore trails, dragging trailing arms and smashing lower a arms is no fun...and it's not like ya can do portals, would be soooo wide. Would like to see one on proper tires, like XTR370s or Zillas in 35 or bigger though. Would have been a different story on those trails. I would still take many other machines on the trails first though haha. Great vid!
@BustedKnuckleVideo
@BustedKnuckleVideo Жыл бұрын
I'll have to try some XTR370s as I just don't see the hype. HCR has high clearance A arms and they have gotten 2 more inches of clearance out of the toelink trailing arms in the rear. It is a mean machine that I am sure can be built to do it all well. If hardcore trail riding is what you like it might not be the one.

@@BustedKnuckleVideo yea, and who cares about the dirt bikes and quad guys....typical response from sxs driver though. Nobody matters except themselves. Hog out the trails with 35s, 37s, then..... Adding more tire doesn't help the trails and the resulting damage.. I can remember when Hatfield was awesome, and now it's just a torn up mess.

I wish the cameras could show just how steep this is, I know it's always steeper than it looks on camera, it's the same on steep creek kayaking videos, I saw them and said i can do that, then went there and said no f*cking way...7 out of 10 times. besides a helmet, are adult diapers a requirement for lunchtime & hamburger hill? very impressive video. my tacoma only has 33's on it, it's jealous, and now hates rzr's., if you like to be scared and sh*t your pants, follow this guy, if you want to have fun and not bring 3 pairs of clean underwear, follow the ranger :) that's what i took from this video.....I'll be behind the ranger ! the only thing i'm wondering about is..... how much easier would this be if the razor was 4wd and not awd and had locking diff's? jeeps that climb the same trails you did in this video have bigger than 37's on them i bet. I just bought my 1st sxs and got the kawasaki teryx 4 seater. the biggest tire I can go with, without lifting it is 31" after buying offset a arms.( has 27" on it now) I'm too old to be as crazy as i used to be ( wiser too ) and as i age, it will get harder to not sh*t my pants just doing moderate trails. I will keep this trail in mind if i get constipated and haven't pooped in a few days, this trail will fix that :) again, impressive video

The locking front diff is actually better for technical climbs.

@@BustedKnuckleVideo Not once, the problem for me was the belt slippage in High gear. Got an Aftermarket Assassins secondary weighted 0,0,5 seems to have fixed it. Prior to that slippage under stress in even reverse. As the low is geared so low I probably won't get gear reduction for the trans. I am waiting for Tie rods from Shock Therapy to do the really heavy runs like Gatekeeper in OK or Gatekeeper at Windrock. BTW, even before the secondary clutch upgrade it never slipped in low. I am using Hutchinson 17x8.5" Rock Monster Beadlocks so it's heavy.

@@BustedKnuckleVideo Message me and I'll send pics. Even have a few videos but from my God Daughter and she hung in out the side sideways because she thought it was cool... hurts my neck to watch. However, no you can't do it stock because you need to cut the lower plastic in the wheel well or they will rub. Used the spare plastic from the cut out to reseal the wheel well so it doesn't introduce water and mud to my feet. One thing is for sure though, take out those sway bars and the places you had trouble would have not been. Of course that would make your track riding a little risky.
