Watch as we speed down runway 26L and depart to the West with excellent views below! Fantastic General Electric CF6-80 engine sound as we climb out of the Atlanta area! Another great video! Wow. A straight out climb to altitude! You were lucky! Must have been west guessing by your destination description. Looks like it was humid there like here in the Heartland! I could see the haze on the entire climb out! Thanks for another great video! Mark in Iowa.

Yeah, it was a pretty straight forward takeoff out of Atlanta! Not too much fanfare but it was a busy day at the airport! Glad you liked the video! Thank you for your continued viewership! It definitely is humid in Atlanta!

***** Oh my... can't believe I made that mistake! I guess they must be -80As and not -80Cs, because they sound pretty odd for typical CF6-80C2s

This video reminds me of that old Futurama episode where Fry meets a mermaid who's home is a flooded Atlanta ('Atlantis'), and she had to try to explain how her home was more than just an airport. The joke was that people in the future only remembered Atlanta as being a Delta airlines hub and not much else, and I can see why from this video. Sooooo many Delta aircraft.
@mah584jr
@mah584jr 10 жыл бұрын
I never really watched Futurama but that sounds funny! There were definitely a lot of aircraft at the airport! It still ranks as the world's busiest in both traffic movements and passenger count! I think it will soon be outpaced by Beijing and Dubai in passenger count!

***** Yeah that's pretty cool to do that. I've flown DL UA AA WN etc. DL their employees always strike me as cocky, I used to work there for a few years. Not a good experience. UA is ok, not great. WN well we know what to expect, not much. AA which I now work at has always been good. Love the company the people.

@AAMD11ER
@AAMD11ER 10 жыл бұрын
***** So far so good. Things are moving along quite nicely. Financials are good, great in fact. But as everything it's early. It's not gonna be the mess UA is going thru, but rather smooth like a DLNW merger, because US is adapting AA 90% of the merger not like USCO that's all over the place.

Great video, as always... I can't believe Delta is still using 767's from 1991. That's pathetic, especially when you realize that so many of the big international carriers are doing everything they can to modernize their fleets and offer first class service on a scale never seen before. American infrastructure really is just crap.

Glad you liked the video! I think it's kind of cool that they're still flying an aircraft from 1991! If nothing else, it speaks to the excellence of Delta's maintenance team for keeping the 767 safe to fly all those years! Thanks for the comment!

I like Delta, they are doing the right things, like dump those CRJ-200s and replace them with larger planes. I hate the CRJ-200s, they are small and cramped and no economy plus, no wifi, and no first class. The CRJ-900s are way better and look better and Delta is also taking Airtran's 717s, they remind me of the DC-9. As a result, Delta is bringing mainline back to cities that lost it following 911. AA/USAir is also dumping those little CRJs and ERJs, hopefully united will do the same as well

Yes, the larger Regional Jets are far more economical than the 50-seat aircraft! They are also far more comfortable, as you mentioned!

a hamburger or grilled vhicken salad for lunch....in FIRST CLASS! Oh my god, it's miserable in the comparison to ALL asiatic and european airlines. Why are ALL US carrier like AA (US), DL, United so bad in service for 1st and Business Class Passengers?
@kbufaviator6104
@kbufaviator6104 8 жыл бұрын
+zerberus500 I would be fine with that selection. I mean, US airlines aren't very good compared to foreign airlines but they are getting better. Delta is by far the best US carrier.
