Definitely. My sister is about twice as large as Addy and wore a strapless wedding gown, my high school friend is even bigger than that and wore a strapless prom dress. You just need to wear a bustier underneath, or take the gown to a seamstress to have boning added. Addy looks like she could easily just wear a normal strapless bra though.

During my sisters wedding, I worse one heck of a dree that didn't suit my body type but that didn't matter because it's the dress the bride chose and I loved just being there on her day.

Here’s a little tip I learned from a friend of mine. If you can’t have pockets in the dress, get one of those arm pouches that joggers wear for their phone/wallet, etc. get one of those bad boys and strap it to your thigh. That way you can keep your stuff and it stays covered up by the dress.

Exactly, my boobs look bigger than hers. I’m a 34DD/E and I still spill out of it. She looks like a C cups which is average. Like her band size may contribute and her boobs be more the shape of mine (more side to side than outward), but even at a C I looked huge. But hey that’s just me and apparently other people too

Not if you have big boobs. They slide down and never fit right. Tape is a no go too. It doesn't provide any support and it hurts. I have (natural) GG cup boobs. They don't make strapless bras that actually work in my size. The only time I have been a bridesmaid, I was exclusively breastfeeding my daughter. I insisted on a dress with straps. My boobs were even bigger than they are normally, and they don't make strapless nursing bras, and I needed to feed during the day. Sometimes, the bride has to compromise on her vision for the sake of her bridesmaids. It's not a disaster.

Granted, there are some concessions the bride has to take into account, but they are mere tweaks to her total vision. This girl hated the color the bride chose and kept bucking everything the bride and consultant were trying to do to make her feel more confident and included. And you can work with C-cups. I wear a natural D on the left and natural C on the right. I truly never go without a bra, but you can manuever them around to do what needs to be done. One of my niece's is BUSTY and she has to dress herself accordingly, to keep her girls in place. It's tough being busty, but we gotta do what we gotta do. Oh, and I'm under 5'0", so yeah, I'm basically boobs with legs.😂

Bridesmaids forget one simple thing... it's not your day it's the brides. And in my opinion, it's an honor to even be asked to be in your friend's wedding. Because to be honest my thought would be either accept what I want (bride) r u don't have to be in the wedding party u can come as a guest and wear whatever u like lol

we get that this was filmed in the early 2000s but all of the dresses they show on the mannequins in the background look so much better. And don't look as cheaply made.

That's how I find my prom dresses. $25-50 instead of $100+. It might not be what I wanted, but I have been lucky to find a prom dress and a homecoming dress that have worked and been the "right" one so far.

Everybody is saying she’s not the busty it doesn’t matter. U can tell she’s insecure about her breast because if there not straps or one strap there is no support. I’m busty myself I feel where she’s coming. She looked very uncomfortable in the dress that she has to pay for. Sometimes it isn’t all about the bride.

Technically it's an appointment for the bridesmaids to find their dresses, so it's actually a little less about the bride, and more about the bridesmaids, as long as they keep style, and color and such in mind, it's about the bridesmaids with these types of appointments.

Tbh i get it because while strapless may look good if the dress is tailored to fit, support is still the biggest issue. Not having proper support for hours on end for a chest her size can cause A LOT of back pain. I once tried on strapless dresses for less than 2 hours and the next day I couldn’t even sit up in a chair without back pain. It’s not about looks its about health concerns.

I have small breasts, (I still fit into training bras easily!) and I feel really uncomfortable mentally wearing a dress that shows my bra or any cleavage whatsoever. It could also be a mental thing.

As someone who is also busty, I get it. It sucks trying to find thing that'll fit right and that look good on you and whatever but you dont need to make comments about other people's bodies and, crazy as this may sound, you can wear a strapless dress if you're busty...just depends on the dress

@@Augiegrl12 I like that idea as long as the bride knows the choices the bridesmaids are picking. If it is from one manufacturer or line it should be okay. I remembr a groom saying save money and boys just wear a black suit - I said this is not going to work. There are many shades of blacks and many styles of black suits. Mine had a frock coat and was blue black, some had brown black others almost charcoal grey and others just looked worn forget the lapels and some guys with old suits with three or four buttons. Some had cotton, others wool blend, and even in wool there is everythign from crepe to flannel to worsted cool wool etc. some cuts looked western or more casual - heck I own a black Lululemon suit. You need good rules/instructions/guideliens in letting a wedding member pick their outfit - or finalapprovalif ou have a vision.

I totally understand where Addy (sp?) is coming from. I’m really top heavy too (36G in USA sizing to be exact) and I don’t feel comfortable in strapless, single strap, spaghetti strap, or anything that I can’t wear a bra in. But that clearly was a cover up for her real issues because she found something wrong with EVERY dress!!

I'm with that opinion. If the bride wants someone to wear something they don't like then she can pay for it. It's not like they're renting the dress. They have to keep it forever after they buy it (until they maybe sell or donate it). If I was to pay for my own bridesmaid dress then I would rather wear something that I am comfortable with. And I would want my betrothed friend to respect that, and if she didn't then we aren't as good friends as I would hope.

As a busty girl myself, I understand Addie. Some designers just don't design for girls bigger than a C cup regardless of size. Sometimes it's to do with the cut of the dress and the type of fabric used. She was just voicing her concerns but not in a constructive way.Also I think she didn't know it could be altered to fit her. Let's hope the additional strap worked. I think this here is great example of why brides need to take into consideration the fact their bridesmaids have different body types and to remember that not everyone will look good in everything. The solution here would've been to choose maybe choose different dresses from the same designer. So the same colour,length and fabric. As well as the same accessories. So then they will all look different but still have a uniform look. That way all the bridesmaids will be wearing something that they're comfortable and look great in.

When my sister got married, all of us bridesmaids picked our own styles, as long as they were all the same color and fabric. It worked like a charm!
