Hang in there, Jack! It's okay to talk about your feelings and stuff too on the channel. You're a person too and anyone that's part of your community would be supportive I'd hope. Ebay was fun, but stressed me out too. I made some mistakes in the beginning, but worked hard for a whole year of growth, but it was those returns that got to me too! People kept leaving bad reviews despite me explaining, refunding and all that. I think ebay is the most like brutal when it comes to trying to redeem ourselves, but you got this! I'm wishing you better luck for this next week! These things come in waves. I'm hoping a better wave comes up for you.

I really feel for you, Jack. I've been self-employed for 15 years. You need to be able to relax while on vacation or you'll give yourself a heart attack. Here's what works for me: I have a separate bank account in which I deposit money weekly to cover mortgage, utilities, insurance, etc. for the time I'll be away. The amount depends on a) how many weeks I'm planning to be off and b) how much money I need to cover expenses during the vacation weeks. That way I can go away and enjoy my time off. Hope you find a solution that works for you

I think this is my absolute FAVOURITE/FAVORITE 😉 kind of video you make. IDK, it's just so refreshing and interesting, and cute of course, because we get more puppy content 😂 ...oh wait. I think I know what it is exactly! The freelancer life can be pretty lonely and isolating. When I watch A Day in the Life video, it kinda feels like we're in the "lunchroom" exchanging stories about each other's lives. It feels personal. A reassurance that I'm not alone. Jack, I understand on having your own business. I ran a small Antiques & More shop in my town. I am a senior. I had 5 years in, when covid hit and when all non-essential businesses had to close. It was hard. I was still under the age to get social security started--I hit that after a year of covid and everything was being done online---I didn't have a home computer, so I was basically screwed. I enjoyed making my own money. My husband is a senior and is retired, so it was rough for a good long while. Making stock soup, beans, etc...just being frugal was a blessing to us. Did I open my shop back up? No, my own health took a turn with getting neuropathy in my legs and feet. I guess what I want to say to you is... You are very young, don't allow anyone take the wheel from you!!!, especially fickle buyers! They come by the dozen...it's apart of selling. You keep your head up and keep going---you got this!!! ❤

I totally feel you on being self employed. I literally max my vacation days to three days that way I can still make sales and not turn off my closets but it’s so stressful for the prep and aftercare of a vacation. & whew! eBay is frustrating and the buyers are so annoying 😅 you’re either damned if you do allow returns but damned if you don’t because they’ll try to force one.

The purple plant is a Wandering Jew .. easy to start.... just break off some put some rooting Compound on it stick it in a damp soil medium ...They also have some that have a variegated leaf... the nice thing is you get some color without spending a lot of money for color... year-round...Laxvespa-LosAngeles .... out here we do a lot of dryscape it's incredibly hot, so it does provide some interest in a garden... I have the Department of Water and Power, their rates are absolutely heniusly ridiculous cost wise... I also recycle a lot of my water from my kitchen sink... A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...

Feel your pain, I want to tell people that I don't work at the post office. Once I drop off a package, it's out of my control. I had to send a message to buyer," you purchased saturday night- next day sunday PO closed- next day federal holiday PO closed. Dropped off on Tuesday and you got on Friday. That's not delayed shipping, ugh!!!-

Hi Jack! I've been selling on Ebay for over 14 years. You can call and have negative reviews removed for fit if your store is a "no returns" store. I've had negative reviews for retaliatory reasons. Call them.

Business owner for over 19 years; received only a few negative reviews throughout those 19 years, but they hurt me deeply. When you work your tail off endlessly and make great sacrifices to build your reputable business to have a disgruntled, entitled customer trash your hard work on a public platform is devastating. Even if a million positive comments were left, the 1 negative would honestly consume me. I suppose that is evidence you truly care about your business and those you serve. I just sold my businesses last year, and though I am blessed and miss parts of owning those businesses, I cannot tell you how relieved I am or how FREEING it is to never have to suffer through ugly reviews again. Isn't it crazy that literally 3 negative reviews in 19 years left me with such lingering hurt? I want better for you. So my advice to you is (not that you asked), never become indifferent to negative reviews/comments as we can always learn from our or other's mistakes, but never allow those reviews/comments take root, robbing you of confidence, or dimming the success you have so rightfully earned through your continuous, unwavering hard work. Keep shining!!!

Hi jack. I have returns accepted buyers pay return shipping. I have very few returns and it avoids feedback like you got. Might be worth a try instead of no returns. Buyers will also make up a flaw just to return it which gives you a ding also. ❤ your channel

Jack, negative reviews, I feel your pain so much! I just sold a nfl jersey. I bought it at a nearby millionaires lake front home garage sale...they were basically giving everything away so I grabbed this, and a baseball glove. Anyway, I got it home found a couple really light stains when photographing so I mentioned them circling them clearly in photos etc. A Guy buys it for half what normal price is (due to flaws) and when he get them writes me an email saying, "guess you didn't know you sent me a counterfeit." Huh? Ummm no, it is not, what makes you think so? I have sold jerseys before, I know what to look for, plus lake front new mansion home folks don't need to buy counterfeit. So I explained why it was not...and he wrote "well, I think it is - ok I won't give you bad feedback". But 3 days later BAM! Same thing as you, worst seller ever, beware, counterfeit! Ugh. So I called ebay , had me fill out feedback revision. They removed the feedback words but left the negative mark. So I wrote them again saying hey I don't agree, he said he would not...and they sent what I said it to HIM asking HIM to revise his feedback. He did to a neutral but again wrote about counterfeit. Anyway, I am usually mild about these things but it is super HOT here right now. No air conditioning. And IRS letter saying I owe thousands from 2018 return which I got several days ago but just opened today. Yes, you heard right. 2018. I'm like, I can barely pay my bills...and they want paid by July 31 OR it will be 20K. Are you kidding me? Yep sure, get right on that by flying my private jet to my private island to dig up the $$$$ LOL. SMH. Wish me luck. Gonna need it. I am listing a glassy baby I found, darn its purple my fav. color...I would keep BUT you know I can't. I'll keep watching...

As long as travking shows the item is delivered Ebay does not take the buyers side if they ask for a refund on something that was delivered and they claim it was not. You can also ask Ebay to remove negative feedback if what the buyer says is untrue. Ebay has gotten better with being on the sellers side and being helpful.

I'm just selling on eBay...returns are kind of a given to many of us. I don't have to stress....returns accepted always. Just a different culture on Posh, almost like another country :D.

I just extend my handling time on ebay and still make sales, I also turn my posh back on when its 5 days or less, even after i'm on vacation for a couple days. I communicate with buyers that i'm gone and will ship when I get back and i still make fairly normal sales while i'm gone

Hello, I am glad you had a great vacation...I am on several platforms like you, eBay allows you to put your shop on vacation but still sell items...I leave a message that I will ship once I return, but still, 1 or 2 people do not see the big flag which states delayed shipping...it's okay they either cancel or apologize when I send a quick message to note the vacation mode after they send me a less than kind message about not shipping their item. On eBay I sold 39 items while on vacation. Once I turn it back on the sales jump more. Good luck & ignore the negative "Nellies or Neds" (no offense to real-life Nellies or Neds, but alliteration is important). You and Ryan amazing!

No boss and no limits is worth the few downsides of being an entrepreneur! But venting is totally necessary. The amount of times I stick my middle fingers up in the general direction off my laptop is a lot lol I’m getting ready for a TWO WEEK vacation and I’m crazy stressed trying to plan it all out. But guess what I didn’t have to ask anyone if I was allowed to go on vacation! I’m going to go hard on listing when I get back and hopefully people will start buying coats and sweaters again soon and my ASP will be higher! I’m trying to use summer slow down as a prep time for the (hopefully) gazillions of sales that are coming in Q4. Love you guys and your videos! I’m a middle aged lady and I learn a lot about what’s cool. When I am forcing my BF to look at a haul I tell him “my midwest boys said the depop girlies are into this right now!” “my midwest boys said it’s shoulder bags now” etc etc lol So I think you guys are doing great, and try to remember that you touch and help way more people than you know. And i bet that return lady did look terrible in her purchase, I bet she looks terrible all the time and I hate her. ❤

ebay is no doubt a super stressful platform. Feedback is stressful. Returns are stressful. All of it. I cover my eyes every time i open the platform LOL Our Post office here in LA told me that the kiosk self scanning method doesnt actually start tracking and that it has to physically be scanned in by a postal worker with their scanning gun. Does anyone know if this is true?

Forget the remarks from eBay…..they are just a handful out of many, which are mostly great…let it go

I like Poshmark because they very rarely accept returns.

Jack please consider accepting returns on Ebay. Saying that you don’t doesnt do anything except deter buyers from buying from you. There is no benefit I can see to saying no returns because Ebay will make you take it back anyway and then you risk the bad review. I allow returns with buyer paying the return shipping. Never had a problem with it. If I made an error I also pay the return shipping. Hope that makes sense. Hope you are feeling better!
