Hi Taylor, thanks for showing us another one of your many responsibilities. When it comes to cleaning the bulk tank you need to be very thorough in what you do to keep up with the strict milk standards. You are one very awesome, hard working young lady.🐄

Hi Taylor. If you are using a new pail of oil, if you keep the pail's spout on the top while you pour it in you won't spill any and it also can get air from the spout to breathe. I learned that from a mechanic and I do it that way all the time now!

Hi Taylor, another great video. The thing to do with the hydraulic oil is to put the new pail on the work bench, laid down but with the spout at the top, open the spout slowly and pour into two smaller jugs, as the big jug empties , simply roll the big pail until empty. This way you don’t have to keep lifting the big heavy pail. 😊❤ love the videos. Take care👍

Our tank was semi-circlular, with a flat top, so we could scrub it without getting in. Had to disassemble the valve from time to time and use muriatic acid to remove milk stone build up. Inside a steel vessle is actually great protection from lightning (any conductive material will do).

Not to rub it in but our bulk tank was more automated and washed the inside so we never had to crawl in, I could have everything ready and the milkman would hook up the valve to the pump and turn it on for us when he was done. Nice you can climb in and out to do the job. Sounds like you and Brent have some time to joke around on the drive to and from the sawmill, that is good for your health to laugh. You do a great job on the videos. I hope you all stay safe and healthy. I share your videos to fakebook and twitter, I do not have a bunch of followers but if one person sees that there are young people willing to work hard it will make a positive impression for them.

When filling the hyd. oil on the skidsteer, stick a screwdriver or something into the fill hole with your funnel that will creat a space for air to escape and allow you to keep pouring without having to stop & move your funnel.

Taylor, I do not think it is safe for you to be in that tank unless there is someone else in that room with you. Also, for your info, there is a mathematical formula for calculating the volume (gallons) of a liquid in a horizontal tank based on the height of the liquid, tank diameter, etc. Once you know the volume, you can easily calculate the weight; i.e., water weighs about 8.34 lbs./gal.

Hi Taylor, a different day and different chores. Most things we work with have a use by date and it was the time for bale grabs to break. Brenton was able to get them fixed quickly and it was a good welding job. I did notice there was new wiper blades on the truck, lucky because it was raining. Do you need a special licence to drive the truck or can you just use your car licence ? There is a couple of different materials used by dairy farmers for their cows to lie on. Sand, shredded hay and fine sawdust in their barns. I have never seen inside a milk tank before and you were lucky you could fit it there. Clean as a whistle now. Thanks for sharing. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.

.... stick a screw driver or a twig of wood down the side of the funnel to let the air out .. also if you use the whole pail, use the screwdriver to punch a hole opposite the spout to allow air thus stopping the glug glug splashes .... always wonder too about solar fields being put on arable land. Read an article about a Billion dollar solar project in the out back in Australia and it is not for the Australian power grid. Part of the project is an underwater cable to Singapore, the end user, Forget the distance, but looking at Google earth, it is not next door. As the crow flies from coast to coast it is about 2000 miles. ..... inside the tank there are two things that look like prop shafts on long tail boats in Thailand .. are those so the milk does not separate .... by the way Long tail boats are bizarre right from freight boat to drag racers .... thx for taking us along today and showing us a bit of the Maine countryside .... as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans .....

At time 22:42 it appeared that you were very close to contacting the power line with your truck when dumping the hay bales. It may be an issue of where the camera is located or what perspective it shows but for sure this should raise a red flag if you were indeed that close to the power line. I hope it is just the angle of the recording.

You know, they saying the solar panels are gonna be the thing of the future. The only thing is, they don't work when it's cloudy. So what they're gonna do for electricity? When it's cloudy, so they only work about 85% of the time, they don't work at night either. So I think that's a waste of what they're trying to say.
@cdfps750
@cdfps750 11 ай бұрын
They are looking at farming under panels for certain crops right now. I would think it would be a pain but would be a win win if it works. Solar saved texas' bacon recently allowing them not to have blackouts during the heat wave. A friend put in panels on one of his cranberry bogs a few years back. The one bog ( solar array) generates consistent revenue irrespective of the yearly cranberry market. Luckily there are a lot of three phase pumps in the area so solar can go pretty much anywhere around here. In other areas the power lines would need big upgrades to allow solar installations.

I am not familiar with posting videos on youtube, BUT, in the age of wireless everything, I could envision the following... 'Uhhh, Mmmnn, weeealll, if you are watching this video, this is Tay and I'm stuck in the bolk tank. Send help'. 🤩

when you talk about coffee i remember working for a guy years ago we started at 5am and instead of coffee he has beer? alllllll day long he had beer he had a beautiful herd of ayrshire cattle and i knew him for years all day long he drank beer. he was always a good man he pretty much would NOT do field work he hired guys for that he spent all his time with the cows.

That’s a lot of beer! Although some people don’t seem to be as affected by it as others. must’ve just loved his cows and his beer 😂
