I'm a bit confused, why are all the character female. All the goddess, peope, ect. The only male character was lenusi. I just feel like there should be more male characters.

Arlayna banished all males from Tachaora. In my opinion, when the people picture higher beings, they would envision them as resembling themselves. Hope that makes sense.
