Recorded live from the audience on closing night at the Kennedy Center, here is the powerhouse Ms. Dorothy Loudon belting out the wonderful number "But You Go On." The show, which also starred Harve Presnell and Ronny Graham, was a flop on several levels-:first, its general reviews were less than cheerful, and second, it had had so much build up riding off the coat-tails of the original Annie that many backers felt cheated by the show, even though it was not an all-around terrible one. In fact, the show threw in a nod to "Tomorrow", the insanely popular song from the original Annie, in the second act as sort of an in-joke, but few laughed. The same can be said (about the stagnation of laughter) at most of the jokes in the show, and it's actually quite shocking to hear a show where Dorothy Loudon is not getting laughs.
