I was commissioned to build a massive end grain butcher block intended to be passed down through the generations. Made from solid walnut it measures 3'x4' and is 4" thick. It weighed over 200 lbs. when all was said and done. An all around challenging and truly unique project to bring to life.

One last thing I would love to see is, customer willing, a couple glamour shots of the board in it's new (and probably forever) home. Great job though, this was fantastic!

Don't worry about an "upload schedule" that's where good channels go to die. Keep making quality content, don't worry about quantity. That's the main reason I stopped watching John Malecki, he went full ham on clickbait content and digressed from what made his content great. There's only so many "I bought a pallet of Amazon returns" a guy can watch.

Great build Ryan and am glad you found the time to talk about mental health! The more people who talk about and show the benefits of even just taking the step to do something about it, the less stigma or fear there is which helps everyone slowly but surely! I’m really glad it was helpful for you. Not that you do many big glue up’s like this, but when I’ve had a few I found using the threaded pipe couplers to extend my clamps really helpful. I imagine you should be able to find them at your big box store, learn from my mistake if you use them and make sure you’ve tightened them up well so as not to strip the threads off of your pipe! Cheers 👍🏻🇦🇺

As messenger 67 said just good content, not a regular schedule loading a vid every week. People soon get bored. Loved the build and appreciate the hard work that went into it.

Wow, that was an amazing build! I recently filled an order for my son for 15 boards he wanted for some business deal he had. I’ve never made a board before and figured “how hard can it be?” You make it look easy! Well, it was quite the learning curve, took far, far more time than I anticipated, and the material was much higher than expected. After completing these boards, I have a new appreciation for what you do and, can only imagine the amount of work you put into this enormous project. Unfortunately, we’re not always paid near enough for a lot of projects we make given the time they actually take as nobody would pay us that much, but you built a piece of art that will probably be around well into the future, especially considering how many times that board can be resurfaced. Hopefully this project will also lead to many future orders for you! When I told my son I completed the 15 boards he wanted, he informed me he changed his mind and moved on to something else! Moral of the story, don’t deal with family, or just plan to give them something as a gift as they’ll never understand or appreciate how much work and money goes into a build. Needless to say, 15 family members and friends are all getting cutting boards for Christmas, except my son who’s getting a very large lump of coal. Congratulations on your success with KZfaq and making a living as an artist. A lot of people try, but few are successful.

Haha what a story! Grind through 15 boards just to find out they are not wanted anymore. I think a lump of coal is warranted 😂

Gorgeous as always. Such an overwhelming amount of labor! I know all that work and precision shows up in your incredible completed projects, but as my mother-in-law would say to to her husband and son whose hobby was collecting and restoring antique cast iron gas and steam engines, “maybe in your next life you might consider just collecting stamps!” Anything that weighs less than wood or cast iron! But what fun would that be, right? Take care of yourself, your videos are such fun to watch.
