Thanks, I worked there in the early 90's for a short time, managed to get a job in the bank, we had to count the wages of all the staff, into brown wage packets...

I worked as a butlins photographer from 1986 until 1991. It was Saturday night every night. We had a great time , best time for a young single bloke.

I was there around 1988 as a 11yr on football tour, have some amazing memories, especially the pool areas with the slides, cable cars, chalets, big breakfast hall. It was the first bit of independence I ever had away from my parents.

Fairplay for taking the time to make this in a time when cameras wernt as common as these days. U had so much fun, no mobile fones, butlins looked a better night out.... bittersweet

People seem be different to how they are now seem be more chilled 😎

I worked at Butlins Minehead from 88-90 inclusive including as venu manager at the Beachcomber and Wessex Room. Great seeing the 'Sheds' again.

This is great,, brings back happy memories for me and dad, I remember all this r Exactly how it is on here, swimming pool with slides etc,, the best butlins,, wish it had stayed like this with monorail etc.. Happy memories!!!!

That cleaner at 28:27 was such a character. My shed mate Lizzie used to chat to him a lot when she worked in the bakery. Heck, can't believe so many years have passed. Brilliant vid.

Really lovely to see Butlins back in the 90s I was 10 when this video was made amazing how different it was bk then. Funny they still had the Galaxy witches hat ride still even bk then it's a shame they haven't still got that mini roller coster today. Still look abit drab bk then though accommodation wasn't as nice be fun to go bk in time and try it But I think I still prefer today's Butlins though
