California has it out for BIG BOY! but he is ready to give it his all right back! Matty, BIG BOY, and myself met up with a ton of people in the morning at the VANS signing thank you to everyone that came out and said whats up! Then we went and rode the VANS HB park which is always so much fun!

Forgetting your walker is progress in my eyes. You're subconsciously making it less important because you don't depend on it like you used to. It won't be long until you're able to leave it at home! Awesome Scotty!

It's very inspirational to see how far you have progressed from ur injury scotty. All while keeping a great attitude and a smile on ur face. I love it man. Makes my problems seem pretty small when I see things like what u have gone thru and overcome. Props man.

Or...when he hit the tree in the woods because he couldn't stop in time. I don't get the fully brakeless thing...but then, I'm old and an OG BMX'er. :)

As a newer rider who's ridden with and without brakes, it's an entirely different feel. With brakes you have the comfort of being able to stop, and in some cases brakes are almost needed like dirt trails. When you ride brakeless, the entire bike just feels so much more nimble. It truly FEELS better, but it's also scarier because you have to constantly remind yourself that there's no easy stopping or correcting little mistakes. I've only ever had brakes get in my way during barspins, even with a gyro it just feels so much more bulky to throw the bars around.

I prefer brakes 10 to 1. I just got a real bmx at Christmas and it had a straight cable (btw it's a colony premise 2017 if you were wondering) and I got a gyro so I took my brakes off. Well the gyro didn't fit and I still wanted to learn barspins. Haven't yet but for the few months I've been riding brakeless I have noticed my confidence has went down TREMENDOUSLY... So I say keep the brakes.

@FlatWoodz BMX I race bmx, so I'm use to the brake safety's and control, but if it wasn't for my brakeless bmx I wouldn't have the guts to jump massive gaps and just go hard, try sticking to it to break you're barriers and push you're self and when you feel you want brakes back you'll be already advanced to get those sweet spots and lines
