Wow. I feel guilty. This is something that should cost $ to see. You sir (and your coworkers) are 100% top notch. You also speak clearly and at a pace that can easily be heard and processed. Thanks for sharing .......although I’m not worthy!

Hi ! What are the specs of the branch attaching line do you suggest ? I guess a dynamic rope is in order to prevent the receiver down under too big of a lash ? and I hope a less expansive cord can be purchase ? and what length is appropriate ?

Might wanna note when using a clove hitch on larger pieces. If there's any kind of dynamic shock load at all on your knot it can be come nearly impossible to untie

What do you suggest, a bowline?

Is there a risk of splitting/ barber chair due to the lean of the limb?
@arboristBlairGlenn11 жыл бұрын
Another good video would be a balanced limb with a tip tie to rotate the branch over to to yard you are working from. keep the videos coming! Blair

Great video demonstration! However, the final cut adjacent to the limb being removed was cut improperly (1:39). It is very noticeable. In addition, the underl cut on the limb being removed is way too close to the main stem. It should be at least 12" to 18" from the main stem in case of a rip. The distance from the first under cut and the branch collar depends on the size of the limb being removed. In any case, the use of lowering ropes and knots was very professional

It doesn't matter It looks like this is a whole tree removal he is taking all the limbs out
@purohandball12 жыл бұрын
@Spencer Bean I didn't realize this was a removal. In this case, doesn't matter if it tears

he starts with the most important knot and his hand blocks view. I have found several videos which make the same mistake. I hope his viewers try to guess how it works.

What do you do when you dont have a canopy anchor to point above the limb you're cutting
@canadaboy50053 жыл бұрын
Something called negative rigging. Set the rigging point below the cut, and let the piece run for a bit.

Is this supposed to be used for training purposes? This guy better have a chin strap connected while he is in the tree, without it that helmet will be absolutely useless on the way down.

There was no need for the extra cuts. Little cut on bottom all the way threw the top so it doesn’t peel. And your chainsaw dull as fuck
