Looking for an easy but delicious cake for dessert? Here it is!! 🥳
It takes a little bit of time, but it is totally worth it! 😋
If you would like to make it, here is my recipe:
Ingredients:
1 Butter Pecan Cake Mix (or cake mix of your choice)
1 cup water
3 eggs
1/2 vegetable oil
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 bottle caramel syrup (like the kind you put on ice cream)
1 tub cool whip topping
1/2 cup skor toffee bits
1/2 cup crushed pecans
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees & grease a 9 x 13 pan.
Put the cake mix in the bowl of your mixer (or you can mix it by hand if you want).
Add the water, eggs & vegetable oil & mix for 2 minutes until everything is combined, scraping bowl, once or twice.
Pour batter into the greased pan, place in preheated oven & bake for 28 to 33 minutes until the cake is browned & a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Place the cake on a heat proof surface.
Using the pointy end of a wooden spoon, poke holes into the cake from one end to the other.
Pour the can of sweetened canned milk over the holes in the cake covering the whole cake. Using a spoon spread the milk all over the top.
Take the caramel sauce & drizzle a little on top of the milk & spread all over. Put the pan in the fridge to cool completely, about 30 minutes
Once cooled, put the cake back on the counter.
Spoon the cool whip over the top of the cake & spread it around, covering the whole top of the cake. You will probably use most of the container.
Sprinkle the toffee bits on top of the whipping cream & then follow with the crushed pecans to cover the topping. Drizzle the caramel sauce on top of the cake in both directions.
