Today I have a butterfly locs tutorial for you! I've been wanting to try this protective style FOREVER, and I am absolutely in love with the results! It is beginner friendly and very easy to do, so it should be a breeze for you to recreate at home! I love it. I know I had to. I got tired of paying to lose hair and my edges. They don't want to care for ur hair. Just do it and ready to get paid. Now I love & respect my hair. And I keep different styles all the time. Buying the hair isn't nothing no more. When you don't have to pay someone to do it "the way they want"

All they have to do is crochet the end of your hair to the roots of the braid to get it shorter

A lot of stylists won’t work on “short” hair but also won’t work on “long” hair lmao they really try to do as little work as possible 😂

There is a way to make the hair shorter by crocheting the end of the box braids through the middle of it. I think the problem is how are you going to take it out without cutting your hair? People normally cut the loop and the unravel it. Im sure she'll get it out it will just be more of a process. But I love the way the style came out.

Thank you for being very simplistic in explaining! I am very old school and still put hair in without a crochet needle, and I have tried the crochet but it NEVER works for me. I get frustrated. I’m doing this style today on my daughter. She’s 12 & told me she wants butterfly locs so I bought the water wave hair. This will be my first time trying to do butterfly locs. I love KZfaq. It’s how I learned how to do box braids with weave years ago. I do my hair at home & my daughter’s hair. DIY saves me so much money. Thank you for this video. Your hair looks beautiful.
