I was getting ready to purchase a 2007. But after joining the Bentley forum. It was a bad deal. Great vid. The 07 had 5 owners and the dealer couldn’t produce maintenance records on certain components. Gold Coast in Chicago. Thanks for the vid. Thinking about a Phantom. 2010. But it will take a lot of research

About 90% mechanical and electrical parts have same part # as Audi and WV and a whole lot cheaper and If you like working on cars it’s just like any other car nuts and bolts don’t let the Bentley name intimidate you but if your not mechanically inclined and have to take it to the dealer for every little problem that might show up better have some deep pockets

The starter would kill it for me. I used to run a shop, I have worked on thousands of cars, I maintained several of my own but pulling the motor to get to the starter was just them being a dick. Pulling takes a ton of skill and tons of equipment, and the starter will eventually wear out.

What a beautiful car. I love the mods you did to it. Don't listen to these haters, the wheels look dope. had the pleasure of driving a 2013 Continental GT with the V8 twin turbo and it was amazing. I drove it back and forth to NYC and had the pleasure of detailing it. What a deal these things are used, especially examples like yours. Think about it, the original owner shelled out over 200k and you most likely got it for a fraction of that, and it still smells brand new!!!!!

Aaron ___ Headunit. Look up Nav-Tv Ben H.U.R for Bentley. I’m only using it for the head unit swap. I’m about to swap out all speakers for 2 sets of Focal 165 F3’s, two 10 inch Focal Flax subs with a JL XD 1000/1v2 and a JL XD 800/8v2 with a Mosconi DSP. Just something small because I don’t need all that boom at my age. I’m more into clarity now. Here’s a vid I made when I thought I was having a problem with Android Auto when it really was they haven’t released fully for the phone I was using at that time. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bN-ag7R22LPQfnk.html

This guy gave a good review on the Bentley. Only thing I would say is the headliner isn’t necessarily about being in the sun. It’s the glue they used. It sucks. My headliner is leather and suede and like him kept in a garage and only comes out in the spring. I had my windows down doing 100 mph and looked up and noticed it sagging in the middle a week later 🤦🏾♂️. The glue and wind is death for the headliner. If anyone would love to be a part of a community that helps each other when it’s a problem with the Bentley, join 6apeedonline.com and scroll to the Bentley forum. We help each other on all type of stuff. I’m Teamjones1962 on there

So it’s basically the complete opposite of a Lexus in terms of reliability, though a Bentley certainly has the prestige. I could run it through my business, but I’m having a really hard time justifying the expense. 2017-2019 four door vs an S-Class vs an LS-500. As a daily driver, videos like this are making me shy away from the brand. Thank you for making this video. I appreciate your insight.

Alvin Townson I suppose.i just don’t feel like this reflects the number of owners. You could have several owners who has taken care of a car and fewer owners who did not. Just my opinion. Mine was a two owner, but this wasn’t necessarily why I chose it. It was the right deal and circumstances. That’s how I buy all my cars. Bought my 360 Ferrari last April the same way which Is also silver. I only wanted a red Ferrari, but this one came up and made sense. I had the opportunity to buy a red one but it was F1, mine is gated. I chose gated silver over Paddle red.

One good way to size up any used car is to run a car fax or vehicle sale history. Then look up the addresses and as much information on the previous owners....where they live, neighborhood, home condition, arrests, bad behavior, age, drug convictions, DUI, etc. If they look shady, dangerous, or have a questionable past, their car will also be shady, dangerous and abused. Never buy a car from a youngster unless you are a mechanic. Kids drive the hell out of cars, abuse them and usually modify them in unsafe ways.
@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne4 жыл бұрын
I have owned 2 Bentley's and the good thing about them is they are so expensive from new that only wealthy people generally buy them, and subsequently they tend to be looked after. Hence my first tip is to buy one with as few owners as possible. My second 'tip' is USE IT....! They are prone to engine/battery issues when they are left sitting on a drive or parked up looking beautiful. Far better to actually drive the thing.
@jennifer860104 жыл бұрын
@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne If people looked behind the upholstery, under the hood and underneath luxury cars, they would realize that for the most part, luxury cars are no better than regular cars. The luxury is mostly provided in the interior, feel, and conveniences...bells and whistles. "Luxury" is a very slippery term. I've owned many luxury cars, but there are many affluent people who purposely drive ordinary cars so they won't be recognized, car jacked or have their car stolen, keyed or vandalized. It all depends on where you drive your car. If going to a party in Beverly Hills, feel free to drive a luxury car. If going to a ballgame in downtown L.A. you better drive an inconspicuous vehicle. San Francisco has an extremely large population of drug junkies, resulting in the car theft and car break-in capital of the U.S. I never drove my luxury cars to S.F. unless I parked in a guarded parking building. My friends' Ferrari has been keyed twice, by people who hate him because he has a hot car and they don't. Taking a luxury car to a sketchy or bad neighborhood is a dangerous decision. A friend who owns a auto body repair shop makes a good living on people who own nice cars that get vandalized or broken into or bumped or scraped in bad urban environments.
