What's up tomodachis, in this videos I went out to buy a bicycle. Not speaking good Japanese was really a struggle. What you think about the bike and prices? #japan #japaneseculture #japaneselanguage

Love the video mate! 🙋🏽♂️ OMG though, your Japanese was great but those awkward moments of silence felt all so familiar and I felt like I was there man haha

@@bernoGarcia It was interesting to see your thought process and how you worked though the interaction with the bike shop attendant in Japanese. But in general, the everyday life as as foreigner in Japan that you have been doing is great!

I guess if you don't already, maybe open your conversation with the equivalent of "Hey, sorry, my Japanese sucks but I'm working on it...."? I think that would help set expectations and remove a lot of the awkwardness :D I'm not sure if it would be seen as rude in some way though.

Your energy is great. You will get better at speaking foreign languages by speaking them, so keep making opportunities to speak with Japanese people! If there is any Japanese you cannot understand, you can use a translation application.

Viel Spaß mit dem neuen Fahrrad! Wenn dein Studium vorbei ist kannst damit du Golden Boy mäßig durchs Land ziehen. :D

Little question from my side.. I am 2 meters tall and do you recon I could fetch a bike in there?! 😅

I feel like buying a bicycle wouldn't be the only problem for you in Japan haha. But not sure actually, at least where I went I didn't see a bike bigger then the on I got. :S
