Usually the wires supposed to be hidden but that’s electrical tape around the wires and sometimes it’s not good to have it near the engine u might want to get them hidden to prevent damages to the wire

The tape on the hoses in the engine bay is from factory, most of the new models come like that. It looks sloppy but hey that’s car manufacturers for you

Lol, it’s electrical tape. All the the VR3.0T comes with it wrapped around the engine harness. No it won’t catch fire being close to motor.
