Buying a New 2ds XL/ New 3ds in 2024! (My DREAM console!)

I do not want this channel to become a chore, but rather stay one of my favorite hobbies. Anyways, let me tell you, this console is phenomenal. If you do not already have a 3ds system, get one now! The lineup of games for the system is so unique, and each game has an essence that can’t be replicated on modern machines. This console also has such a gorgeous look, I could talk about it for hours. I originally wanted the lilac version of this machine, but I could never find one for a good price. The orange version came up though, and I snatched it away. It is honestly just as pretty as the lilac. In the future, I want to make more content on my video game consoles. I love collecting them so much, and I’d want to share that with you guys! The New 2DS XL has such a nice design. Not long ago (xmas 2023) I got a New 3DS XL (the color was galaxy for anyone wondering) and since then my 3DS has been my favorite console, along with my Wii U. My Switch was literally collecting dust since I used my Wii U / 3DS so much.

My switch has been collecting dust as well!! I just love the games on the 3ds so much more than any other console. It also has such a unique vibe to it that the switch doesn’t capture.

That’s a very cool model, kudos to you 😊 I would advise you to homebrew it, with it you can add themes and badges, even custom ones! It’s the kind of stuff that add a lot of personality to the system, and it’s quite easy to do UwU

Hi! I most likely will not homebrew it, because I am scared of messing it up 😭. I also really enjoy collecting physical copies (the feeling of holding a physical game and seeing the artwork is just so nostalgic and special to me).

@@daybeamaestheticI have all of my ds’ hombrewed, but nothing beats having the physical copies! I still collect them and play on my modded 3ds’ I’ve even started to collect regular ds games for the ds lite I bought so I can play on a native screen with the same graphics

Heyy my main goal is to play all pokemon games from GBC, GBA, DS,3DS and SWITCH So is the Odin 2 able to do that? Or should I just stick with buy a new 3DS XL, which I can definitely play ALL GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS pokemon games. Which do you think would be a better choice? ODIN 2 or new 3DS XL?

Personally, I’ve never used an Odin before. I have always tried to avoid emulators and use the real source consoles. I find that games play better on their original source console rather than emulated. I’ve heard that 3ds games especially play better on the 3ds rather than emulators, because of their dual screen functionality. Ultimately, it is up to you, and you’ve probably done more research than I have. I don’t think you can go wrong either way !

Also whenever I see contents like yours, unboxing or playing or decorating 3DS, omg it JUST MAKES WANNA BUY IT EVEN MORE 😂😭😭 Just worried if buy a new 3DS XL is prolly 2nd hand and will it last long in the long-term? And are ergonomics comfortable play compared to the modern handhelds? Thank you so so much for the support! I find all the 3ds consoles to be comfy, except the original one. The XL is pretty ergonomic. I would not recommend them if you have larger hands though. As for durability, I have bought almost all my consoles second hand and they still work perfect despite being twelve years old. Just do your research, and read the descriptions of listings thoughtfully and thoroughly.

I really want a New 3DS, but I don't think my mom will buy me it. I specifically want New 3DS because 1. It's New 2. It's compact (just like my DSi) and 3. It looks cool (the famicom coloured buttons are so cool, I don't even care about the colour, both black and white look cool that I can't pick my favourite) But congrats on getting New 2DS XL!
