So I bought a Unimig Viper Cut 30 MK II Plasma Cutter.
I cut a few bits and make some stuff with it 😂
Jim is just an Aussie Bloke making and Doin stuff in the Shed, He doesn't say that you should do things or make stuff like he does but this is just how he has done it.

They draw more than 10A, that's for sure. Have a look on the bottom at the rating sticker, mains input part look for "Imax" that's the maximum it will pull from the mains.

Hi Shaun here I have brought the 30amp plasma cutter and its great working well with the compressor I have do you have to have the guide on when you cut as I am trying to do letters and the the skid guide gets caught cheers Shaun 🤔

Hi Shaun, the stand off (guide) is a pain sometimes yes. If you were to clamp or hold down the letter with a screw it can give you a second hand to steady the flow of movement of the torch, you could try it without the stand off. Hope this helps mate 👍

Yes Phil, it says up to 6mm stainless, I haven't tried it though but so far very happy 😀 👍

Hi was wondering what size air compressor are you running cheers Shaun 🤔

Hey Shaun, my compressor is 210 litres free air delivery, not sure if that helps, it's a twin cylinder thing, seems to keep up ok.

Is that 40lt free air delivery or just tank capacity? Really any compressor will do the job first up but it will be limiting how long that you can cut for per cut, if makes sense.
