I think the ps3 was WAY ahead of its time. Still a wonderful blu ray player and offers excellent surround sound.

I love picking up collection games and trilogy games on PS3. It's definitely great for saving shelf space, and there were a lot of first party and third party ones in the PS3 library. Most times games were upgraded and remastered in HD from the PS2 generation as well.

I bought a PS3 probably a year ago and was a great decision. I've played it more than my Xbox one. I feel like that generation has better games over all.

I have 3 PS3's for all different uses lol, one is modded for mame Capcom Vs games, some exclusive beatem up games for native fightstick support you just can't get anywhere else, it's quite a unique system in terms of legacy exclusives, excellent video 👌🏼

I have 6 ps3 ( the ps3 fat 60 giga , the ps3 fat 40 giga , the ps3 fat 80 giga , 2 ps3 ultra slim 500 giga and one ultra slim 12 giga ) and I buy 4 ps3 between march 2021 and july 2022 . The ps3 is a amazing game console , amazing game only on ps3 ( the hd classic , the simpsons , alice madness return , heavy rain or beyond two souls , the walking dead or the wolf among us , the godfather 1 and so many game ) It's a console game so poweful because , we can use the net , free online , bluray , playing with game ps1 and ps3 ( and ps2 for the fat 60 giga ) , the design for the ps3 fat is so beautiful in 2022 and so many games playable on ps3 but not in ps4 . My favorite console game ( sorry for my mistakes, i'm french)

I subbed. That ps3 slim is so durable I had mines for 11 years and it still works . My psp broke multiple times , ps2 broke needed replacement , original ps4 had to be fixed. But ps3 slim never broken . Not once. The only problem is the controllers were crap.

Hope there's still PS3 available in my country. I heard it's one of the best console ever developed. Glad you bought one at that year.

I loved the PS3, it did everything! Plus the PlayStation network was free to play online! It was region free so u could play UK and Japan games on it, plus it could play PS1 games also! MP3 CD’s and a multimedia system! It did it all! Still have and play mine to this day and I have a PS4 pro and a PS5.

Love the ps3! So many amazing games, who needs a ps4 or ps5? This week i installed a 1tb ssd and put ps3hen (custom firmware) on it so i can install all my games fully on the ssd. And ps3hen opens the ps3 up for a whole lot of possibilities.

I saw the part where you mentioned how rare the Fatal Frame physical games were and remembered the PSN store on PS3 has each one for 10 bucks still. They might not be physical but if you don’t already own a copy, it’s definitely worth picking up. Especially if they end up shutting down PSN for PS3.

I have 3 ps3s. A 60gb launch model for ps2 games. I don’t leave it plugged in, but whenever I wanna play ps2 games it’s the best way to play them in HD on a modern TV. I have 2 slims for ps1/ps3 games that gets daily use. One plugged in at all times and then one I keep boxed in a closet in case anything happens to my main slim. Between the ps5 and BC ps3 I love the option of having access to 5 generations of PlayStation between just 2 console if need be. PS3 games are my favorite to not only collect, but also play, definitely my favorite console!

PS3 has too much variety of games to play that I can't get enough of. My PS3 collection is bigger, then the PS2, but that's because I couldn't plug in my PS2 at the time. Plus, I just wanted to try out games on the system I missed out on. I bought the system when PS4 launched. If it wasn't for PS3 I wouldn't be able to experience games such as Uncharted, InFamous, Jak & Daxter, God of War, Batman Arkham City, etc. I also am glad to own a console were I even can watch my favourite animated movies & TV shows on physical media.
