That's... a pretty cynical way of looking at it? It'd probably be nice to have both, like what eddy said, but people can't always rlly have that (Maybe they're hurrying somewhere, have other things to do, have social anxiety, etc.) so like even getting something small to remember the encounter like a photo, autograph, whatever is still nice. I get felix for not really wanting to do those anymore, but I can also get the people asking for a pic as well. We don't really have to demean something that probably means a lot to them if they have it.

That is the point of no selfies for a lot of people. Selfies are incredibly superficial and just a way to brag about an encounter. A conversation is memorable and more often fun for both parties. So when a famous person doesn't want to take a picture, just engage in a conversation and respect their choice.

This is super random, but I follow this celebrity who values his privacy a lot. When he was in his hometown, he came across another famous person he admired, but instead of approaching that person, he decided to just view it as a memorable incident since he always did not wish to interrupt his personal life with a selfie. He took to social media to post about it, so that's how fans knew of it. Before that, I always thought if I ever met him on the street (literally not gonna happen) I would probably faint but hopefully take a photo with him. Now, I think I will keep my distance to respect his boundaries, since at the end of the day, famous people are humans. Of course, I may still faint lol.

I couldn’t be a celebrity of any sort, I can imagine getting approached for photos feels like being an animal at the zoo or something. I also can’t imagine ever asking a celeb for a photo either, I’d simply rather say Hi and carry on.

edgar is by far one of the funniest/cutest names i've ever heard for a dog. i absolutely LOVE it when people name their dogs with human names. i know a golden retriever named jimmy, a doodle(who is a very kind gentleman may i add) named JAMES omg. a little elderly dog named Lydia ooommmg. but edgar is by far my favourite

That was a cool fan interaction. He got to converse with his favorite KZfaqrs and pet Edgar too! It would’ve sucked if the fan just wanted a photo and then leave right afterwards. Pewdiepie seemed genuinely happy about how the interaction went.

He said he'd much rather have a real conversation with fans, like he did here. Pewds said most people just leave after getting their picture and don't even try to talk to him afterwards, so it just feels really fake to him. Just a respect thing, mate.
