I have had several betta fish. For about 3 years I had a male betta in a 5 Gallon next to a 20 gallon with a huge topper for 2 gerbils. The Betta would dance and react to the sweet gerbils antics. Betta will always have a special place in my heart. They can live to up to 5 years if kept properly and can be very outgoing and wonderful to watch and interact with. Thanks for actually researching and informing people.

I recommend to take that big center plant out, the main reason bettas need a bigger tank is for food to swim, maybe just a few smaller ones in the side

1. You should set the heater to 80 cuz 70 is to cold for betta’s. 2.take the big fake plant out it’s to sharp for the betta. But overall it’s great❤

Definitely better then the first tank I had lmao, I still have bettas today too, definitely a good starting point. A suggestion I’d give is if you notice the water flow is to strong for him, you can pull off the head where the water is Comming out and put a small piece of a course sponge in , it will slow it down without stopping water, or filter floss before the main sponge might slow water down.

Tank looks great! Bettas don't like high flow, it looks like he is struggling a little. You could put a little filter floss or something over the spray nozzle to slow the flow down, my name suggestion would be butters

Only started out with a small temperate tank with some Danios and minnow's, but everyone has to start somewhere hey 😂

My beta fish always had enough bacteria inside them to not worry about that when doing my water change when I was young and it would live through the roughest conditions before changing the water. Beta fish is in my opinion the easiest fish to take care of. Now that I'm older I realized how much I didn't take care of my beta! 😅

I have had some betta fish but they weren’t my favorite fish out of the fishes that I have had and my favorite fishes that I have had has to be the granddaddy of my fish my three spot Gourami, My balla shark, my red tail shark, my freshwater angelfish, and my tiger and Tinfoil barbs and I would say that out of my fishes the ones that freaked me out had to be my glass catfish and they freaked me out because I could see through them and I also didn’t really like this other fish that I had but it was okay but the part I didn’t like about the fish was that the next morning after I got the fish it had passed away like I don’t know if it was old or was sick or was abused but I don’t really know what happened and the fish was a Mickey Mouse platy however I also really liked my swordtails and they were amazing for to watch because to me they were my miniature freshwater swordfish’s even though they aren’t swordfish.
