Ive bought a 'new' boat , this is about getting my Nicholsen 32 to from Yamba to the Hawkesberry river . After saving up my hard earned cash, I finally bought the sailing boat of my dreams a beautiful 42 year old Nicholson 32 .....after buying the yacht fitting a fleming windvane and solar panels and antifouling her and then sailing her from Yamba to Coffs Harbour and then on to the Hawksberry....then after arriving at Coffs Harbour Capt Ron's BLOODY 20 TON BEAST smashed into my sailing boat ! heres the story.....Please subscribe and ring the 'notification bell' so you can see how i go for the rest of the trip down to the Hawkesberry near Sydney , cheers Phil

Hi Phil just found your video it's great. Just a question, I have done a lot of work on my boat at Yamba marina (my boat is at Iluka on a mooring) Why didn't you do the re-rigging at Yamba with Scooter? Look forward to more videos. Thanks for posting.

Sailing SV Mareki , good question..After sailing down from Yamba to Coffs I discovered a siezed Jib pully at the top of the mast as I needed to remove the mast to fix it I decided to get it re rigged at the same time with Coffs Harbour rigger Pierre Gal , he did a great job. Cheers Phil

Congratulations on getting a super boat! Just found your site, I have a N32 1977 love the boat! The only problem with them is not lots of room. I subscribed you should check out mine! What engine do you have?

yes agree, the Nicholson 32 are a brilliant heavy weather sea going boat, one of the best designs ever made , i find i have full head room (6ft) and enough room for 2 people on a voyage , i love mine. its got a 30hp Yanmar., cheers Phil

Hi Phil, my partner and I are looking to buy our first boat after crewing in other boats the last two seasons in Batemans Bay/Sydney/Gosford areas. If you don’t mind, can you tell me what you paid for your? And would you recommend any specific issues to look out for when buying? Cheers KJ

Hi Kay Jay , Id recomend getting a marine survey done before purchase, id go for a full keel yacht for safety in rough seas. A boat I could stand up in was important for me personally. Spend as much as you can, on the smallest boat you are comfortable with. Its a buyers market so take your time and buy right from someone who maintained their boat . Hi Phil , im selling my Top Hat mach 3 , its been a great boat , funnily enough the guy i bought the Nic 32 had a Top Hat before he bought the Nicholson as well , a sign of good taste in yachts perhaps? best wishes mate cheers Phil

Sailing VIO Fastest reply ever and good to hear. I am half way through The Big Fat Surprise by Nina Teicholz, excellent book, she has quite a few youtube video's about the low fat high carb diet, the money and politics behind it and the terrible results. On the more relevant subject of sailing we had a clinker built Nordic Folkboat when I was a kid, so beautiful, same long keel design as yours

Great question Real Ganan , you see I shoot in selfy mode with my iphone ...I have extremely short arms , in fact they are so short I find it impossible to clap. Best wishes Phil
