Bought quite a bit off Facebook and there’s one seller I’d always go back to as he provides photos and video of the figure, and even how it’s getting packaged up and then photos of it labelled up ready to ship. So you literally know exactly what’s going to arrive at your door. Also great point about buying new figures that are unopened! Something that never occurred to me was, a completely unopened figure can still have issues if it’s an older figure. It’s common sense but something easy to forget when you see “BNIB” - it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s in mint condition! Excellent and informative video mate 👌🏻👊🏻

Great video! I've always been scared to buy from any Facebook group so I buy from mercari. I've been buying from mercari for 3years now with no problem so far.

I've only bought 2 Hot Toy figures so far, both brand new from Sideshow Collectibles and both had major issues right out of the box and had to be sent back for replacements. The Thor Infinity War figure had a leg that was snapped off at the knee and was just dangling inside the paint leg loose. I also bought the Life Size Venom bust from Sideshow Collectibles and it had major paint issues and had to be sent back too. Definitely makes me not even want to consider buying something 2nd hand from a re-seller on ebay or another site.

Personally whenever I buy a second hand figure I tend to buy from either reputable people from private sixth scale groups or Facebook marketplace, but in either instance, and I cannot stress this enough I always ALWAYS ask for a live video call whereby I can see the item in question in the hands of the seller and I can see everything I'm concerned about in full working good condition. In my humble opinion it is the only clear way of not getting scammed in as at least you know that the item is real and as described 👍 good luck and all the very best wishes ❤️

Depends how good of a deal it is and what the condition is. Make sure the seller is reputable and communicate well and you’ll be good. I bought Drax, Yondu, Daredevil, etc. for lowered prices and they are all fine.

Another great video with lots of really good insights. I've had good experiences on facebook bst sites and ebay. The only thing i realized too late, be mindful of where the figure is coming from. I got a damtoys mint in box figure from singapore. Got it in hand and it was sealed and perfect, but the pleather jacket just crumbled a part after 20 minutes. So be mindful of that with older releases.

I buy used occasionally but not super often. The last one I bought was the Episode II Yoda in August of last year. Found it when my wife and I were out of town.

I've bought used figures before but because of my OCD I prefer to buy brand new, fresh figures something about having a figure that's never been taken out the box that makes me feel better.

I purchased a brand new in box Hot Toys Crow figure, when I opened the pleather coat disintegrated due to atmosphere impact and age of the item!

I bought 90% of my Hot Toys figures used and never had a bad experience. I mean they are collectibles so the consumers who buy them treat them as such and then sell them to a new collector.

"Saving money", but paying more than retail, but just not spending what the highest price sold. Makes zero sense. Hot Toys collectors have a twisted thought process. It's a high risk you'll end up with a piece that has already started deteriorating, or will as soon as you touch it. I would NEVER buy a used HT. I don't care how bad I want it. I'll take my chances with a reissue or buy 3rd party.

If you plan on getting into buying new or used Hot Toys keep this in mind..... Plan to make sure you have enough space. Not for the dolls, but you need to have lots of space for the BOXES. BOXES TAKE UP LOTS OF SPACE IN YOUR HOME OR APARTMENT. LOL... You will see. Lol.
