To watch out for the 1.8tsi or to do preventively will be verify timing chain tensioner and associated component are the latest revision. Everything else aren't necessarily catastrophic failures and more of inconveniences (PCV valve, EVAP purge valve, coolant pump leakage, headliner sagging, clutch master cylinders etc)

I'd prefer the RS over normal TSI.... If it's mk1, I'd go for the combi... Skoda gave the taste of European speed market in an affordable way.... Really wanted to see the Fabia RS as sibling of VW polo GT TSI but never happened.... Thanks for the episode and bringing a clean example for it 😊❤️❤️

Definitely a wonderful car to have... Hats off to the owner who keeps it almost stock (other than the suspension and wheels). Looks classy and almost new. Coming to personal choice, I would buy an RS Laura rather than having a regular TSI one. And would not be interested to go with Mk1 RS ones since they have a dated feel to my taste than these. using a laura 2010 diesel for 4 years , amazing car , good power and smooth drive , comfort and refined. 110 bhp diesel feels more powerful than jeep compass innova or harrier.

@@trxx4986 Yes, if you can get a manual one with clean service records and well-maintained condition, you can definitely buy one. One thing to keep in mind, the spare parts like brake pads, suspensions, etc. are slightly more expensive than Indian cars. But that doesn't matter as far as performance, safety and comfort are concerned. It is advisable to do proper research before buying one. Im happy with my Octavia.❤

Owning a bone stock example for 10yrs and despite the occasional niggles, it's a pleasure to drive as you rightly said, a very tight feeling vehicle despite the age. Loved the video and attention you guys made on how 'the boring vRS' actually is a very nice place to be inside and a great mile muncher.

Stock rs would be a great pick but Laura tsi as a sleeper with immense power underneath is definitely a hotter pick for now considering that nobody would expect that kind of power from an executive looking sedan

I owned a Laura 1.9 tdi. It's very performance and ath 70,000 km drive cheyythu single owner and full showroom service till now service haven't stopped. Vere problem waterpumb aahn athum maintained.

The Laura when first launched in 2006, came in only the L&K variant with a Pump Duse diesel engine IIRC..

Nothing like that…using a Laura diesel automatic L&K 2012 model…currently running 118000 kms…no serious issues till now…still running the stock clutch…stage 1 mapped…it’s a great drive with almost all feel good features which u will find in a much more expensive car…
