I lived in a shelter once. For 11 months ( going from shelter to shelter) and it was 32 men to each “dorm”. It was hell because it stank (was a homeless shelter so of course.) people were loud, fighting and smoking crack/shooting heroin in the bathrooms. I imagine this would be great since it’s not homeless people and you pay to be there. I couldn’t do it because I’d have flashbacks to the homeless shelters.

Asking a non-confrontational person to go to their wedding is very much different than being invited to it.

It's cheaper to not even put in some sort of door or separator. Hence, the reason to play up the "social" aspect.

I totally get what Nikki's saying. To Garrett, it seems like she's being antisocial and introverted, but it's not Nikki that's "pushing" people away or avoiding them, it's other people that kind of make things awkward. That one dude on the couch, when Nikki offered the sandwich, he just made things much more awkward and kind of gave her a weird look. If I were in this place, approached someone and got that kind of reaction, I would just be turned off from any future interaction. This is coming from a fairly extroverted person. When someone else makes you feel "odd" or awkward, what can you do but retreat? Last I heard, forcing people to be nice and polite doesn't happen.
