I’ve just recently discovered this and I’ve actually really enjoyed watching this. It really surprises me how inexperienced mums can make some really amazing dishes and gain some great experience just by learning what kids eat and cooking for them. Up until this video, every other episode I have watched the mum has always one. That’s really amazing and I’m really surprised!

Tofu is used as a meat/egg substitute only in the West, but in South Asia, dishes that contain tofu also have beef, seafood, etc. in them.

To all you people calling tofu a meat substitute: in Asian culture tofu is often combined with different meats. Just because you use it as a meat substitute does not mean that is the only way to use it.

Tofu is not a sub for meat. In japan it's is own protein, and you defiantly mix it with other proteins. :)

Tofu's a really versatile dish. I LOVE what the mom went for but in the end, hiding the tofu instead of showcasing it kind of defeats the purpose I think. And that potato chip breading was fun AND genius. Good battle on both sides!

tofu needs to be seasoned. it soaks up the taste of whatever you cook it in. plain tofu tastes like nothing.
