He’s actually speaking “Filipino.” That is the real linguistic term. Filipino incorporates Tagalog, Spanish, English, Hindi/Chinese root words. Tagalog in its purest form is not really spoken anymore and a lot of real Tagalog words are not used anymore as it is considered deep words only used in academia.

that depends on which Philippine region you refer to. There are so many languages used in the Philippines. Those in Luzon use different terms from those in Visayas and those in mindanao. And even in those three divisions, there are differences in different provinces. Tagalog, one of the languages in Luzon and probably the biggest foundation of Filipino (the national language), is more influenced by Spanish, Mandarin, and English.

@@chloecelis2819 I just used the term "languages" because some people say that some of them are languages and some are dialects. Tagalog and Spanish are very similar! My best friend is Filipina and I'm Dominican and when we talk about people we just do it in our language so I would be speaking Spanish and she would be speaking Tagalog LMFAO and 89 percent of the time we understand each other😊

@@escarlincanarioperez3534 Pero suena igual... si un filipino te dice vamos a la kusina tu inmediatamente sabes que está diciendo cocina... Algo que se llama sentido común...
