Am I the only one who feels like, when my parents pass away, I'll be alone in the world because who else wil love me like they do? I think of this so often...

I’m so sorry I won’t meet my grandchildren, I’m sorry I won’t walk you down the aisle.. but I’ll be there, butterfly. I love you to the moon” the next morning I woke up and I felt it in my gut. I knew he was gone. Then my mom confirmed it. It’s like.. all of the air in the room was gone.. even now. Some days you just feel like it’s hard to breathe. But in his memory I am completing his bucket list. Our bucket list. His number one? Dance with my butterfly. That’s one thing I’ll never get to do again.. 🥺I miss you dad!

My mom died last Wednesday. It's one of the hardest things to have to deal with and the pain feels endless.

my mom died today at the age of 60 and i'm 24, she is my life,my heart,my reason,my island and my best friend.we had a very complicated relationship and we didn't always get along and when we got mad we both said some very bad things to each other but there wasn't a day that went by that we didn't apologize to each other and say i love you. i have no idea how i am going to keep going in this world without hearing her voice and seeing her smile every day and i would give anything for just one more day with her and to hear her say "i love you baby" one more time but i promised her that i would do so much in her name to make her proud and just keep going on until the day when i can be with her again. rest in peace mommy, and please forgive me for all the mistakes i made.i love you always and forever.

I lost my beautiful mother on January 29th 2019 she died from pancreatic cancer . She was diagnosed in 2018 and she fought for her life everyday . I left my job and isolated my self from everyone to take care of her along with my aunt . She gave me a last kiss on my cheek and closed her eyes hard when I asked her “ say I love you by closing your eyes “ ( she was unable to move/talk ) she died @5pm in my aunts arms while I cried laying on her bedside . I miss my mother so much , our house feels so cold and empty without her presence . I want to hug her and lay on her lap while she runs her fingers through my hair making me feel safe Treasure your moms , love them unconditionally ,, listen to her when she gets mad at you for she only wants what’s best for you because when you lose her , your world crumbles down . My mom was my first love and she will forever be always in my heart 🌷🙂

I'd rather die than having to face the pain of losing my parents. They mean so much to me, especially my mom. She's always been there for me and when she goes, I'll do nothing for days, but cry and cry. I literally had a dream this morning that my mom died, and in that dream, I remember I experienced the worst feeling ever. My best friend. My dad. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer about 9 months ago. Today, the cancer has spread and has been taking over his lungs. I just found out he has about 3 months to live. To see him go from someone who is so full of life with a full head of hair and a healthy body to no hair, thin, and in pain hurts me so much. We did so much together. Movies and concerts were our thing. To think we will never do those things again is so odd. When I was born, he was so happy that he cried. He wanted a little girl so badly and he got one. The father and daughter bond was real 🤍

I just lost my father. Unexpectedly, no warning from an heart attack with no health issues. Being the oldest son, didn't have the best father/son relationship. Witnessing it happen out, of the blue is mind shattering. I knew he was, gone before being pronounced. It's been 48hrs, and I only slept 5hrs in total. Paranoid, constantly checking on my mother when she sleeps. Praying I won't experience her lost during the process. It's the shock/blindsided that's overwhelming.

My dad passed away suddenly from a heart attack 3 weeks ago, he was 62 years old. My thoughts are constantly flooded with memories of him, how his final moments must have felt, and where he is now. My family is a family of much faith, but since my dads death I am struggling to figure out my faith. I constantly try having conversations with him, but I worry that I might be talking to no one.

My dad passed away about 9 months ago now, he left me when I was two. I always had this anger at him for so long for never making any attempt to contact me, except one time in fourth grade when I wasn't home. He was an alcoholic, so maybe it was for the best but it just always sucked growing up seeing that from here on out I wasn't going to be like the other kids in my grade, I wouldn't be able to attend the daddy daughter dances. It always hurt me so much to think that he didn't want me but when I found out he had been diagnosed with lung Cancer, for some reason something snapped. I was so scared because in the back of my mind I always knew that if I wanted to I could go and meet him possibly. I had the connections to do it, but it just sucked to have that possibility ripped away. I attended his funeral and felt so guilty because sitting there where he once had sat, I knew that all along I could have contacted him myself. I remember getting so upset because the first time that I'd been within ten feet of him in 7 years was when he was in a casket and that sucked so much.
