Most Hindus spend 20 to 40% of their life savings on their children's weddings, because Marriage is a one time event and considered as the start of a new life. Also hindu weddings are not 1 day event, it takes days, there are many rituals and ceremonies that needs to be done. Hence the expenses are even more. Ambani didn't even spend 0.5% of his savings. Should we call him a bad father?

You should remember it when you get married or arrange it for your kids and tell that to your relatives. Marry in court or in temple/gurudwara with only close family members and donate all the rest of your budget to beggars and poor people. The whole engagement and wedding going on close to a year must have been so terribly exhausting for all the workers, event planners, employees , participants, the families etc. I can't even imagine how it was planned out and the amount of time spent on planning to perfection etc. Just to plan for Christmas itself is stressful and exhausting. 😅

It's called work and employment opportunity for the workers and performers. Also it's not like every day was an event. Even ordinary Indian families have multiple wedding rituals and it's not a short affair. We just invite people of our own status. But they did arrange 50 more lavish weddings for underprivileged girls during this time as part of their own son's wedding celebration and gifted them some gold jewellery for the occasion. Those girls and their families would be thankful.

Ambani did bhandara ( free for all food ) for one and half month and arranged 50 other weddings for underprivileged ahead of this wedding as part of the celebration. So he didn't forget to involve the local community at large. However even middle class spends money on weddings if they can. Some even if they cannot and have to take loan- that's stupid show off.

It's a very classy & a beautiful extravagant event. I just don't understand why anyone need to show the anger, jealousy, envy towards their happiness. Why go on talking about saying that some people are not happy to see them using their own money to spend lavishly on their wedding? YOU CAN'T Make every one happy every where. These two young people both are educated & both are working as well. Let them spend their own money the way they wanted. If other's are unhappy it's too bad.

Here's the difference, the the top 10 of richest people come from a well developed countries.. they have lot of money but no power still subject to government almost no influence can be put on the government.. but Mukesh is not only Rich but also Powerful ... Compare the purchasing power parity vs lifestyle and Mukesh will be at the top

I wish you would comment about how America's billionaires spend their wealth in contrast to the Ambani's spending on their beloved youngest son's wedding. America has a massive homeless problem. I pray that may God bless the family, I feel we should not talk about their wealth they have worked hard for that. Also, their wisdom and moral living people should learn from. So May God Bless them 🙏 I shall be grateful if they can help me to start a little school for children in my sister's name, Babbli, who died a few years ago.in Ludhiana. 🙏
