Another poorly edited race video of a slow rider.
Very nice course. Long day on the saddle - 11+ hrs!!!!!
Used the previous day's FASCAT ride for the beginning and ending. Used the actual BWR NC footage for the middle of the video. I had a good 1st half of the race and dealt with serious cramps at miles 65-68. After a long rest (and lots of pickle juice) I resumed my race and finished in the back of the field. Glad to not have given up, but ready to try to compete for a spot in the top 50 next year. If not, it is a great time for the family to spend some time in the mountains.
I am new at this and now I understand why not a lot of people do it. Riding in the reds and dealing with the camera, and ultimately editing is very very hard.
