Welcome all,
I made a trip from Bhilai to Durgapur, but I covered the video uptil Bokaro. Last year also, we availed this route. Some changes can be seen. Few patches are very well disturbed. Rest the roads are fine.
Watch complete video to get and gain some experience if you are planning for the same trip by road.

We're from Bokaro Steel City living in Maharashtra since last 8 years. We have been doing nashik/Aurangabad to Bokaro by road, every 5 to 6 months since 2016. It used to take 30 to 33 hours earlier, before samruddhi mahamarg. Now we do it in 18 to 20 hours. We'll be leaving for Bokaro Steel City on 10 of November, 2023 to celebrate Diwali at home on 12th of November 2023. Nashik/Aurangabad to raipur (~800 kms) takes 10 - 11 hours and raipur to bokaro another 9 to 10 hours.

No, not even a single uphill in this route. Side me dikhega aapko, lekin aap flat land me hi chala rahe hai.

Ranchi feels tobe closer compared to Kharagpur. And in Kharagpur heavy tolls are also there.

Ji, ekdum first right turn. Straight Simdega -Kolebira -ek right side me Church milega, turn left- Karra -Ranchi. Sambalpur-Jharsuguda ke beech apko 2 tolls milenge, Rs.50 & 70 ka toll. Cash rakhna, fast tag nahi chalta. Odisha me aapko L shape pole me Camera laga milega, speed 70-80 ke beech waha maintain kijiyega, camera ke paas. Happy Journey.

Sir can you update me on the road condition between ambikapur to raipur? I am due to travel in a few days time from kharagpur and our first stop is at ambikapur (have some family commitments at kusmi). Will take NH6/NH33 till tamar and then take NH143 till konbir, gumla, jashpur and kusmi to reach ambikapur.

Ok, nice to hear. You take straight road to DURGAPUR->Asansol (Niyamatpur (below flyover)) ->left turn to Raghunathpur->Rt turn to Bokaro straight to Ormanjhi-> take Ring Road before entering Ranchi city (don't enter city) a round to khunti to Kolebira->Simdega->Gargarbahar (take right Road) to Kutra->NH6 ->Rught turn towards Sambalpur->Bargarh->Saraipali->Raipur->Bhilai. Road is fantastic till Simdega, a few 5 kms towards Gargarbahar is not Ok (road construction is there) rest again Fantastic especially after touching NH6 t Kutra.

Raipur se seedha aap bargarh-sambalpur-debgarh-keonjhar-bisoi-baharagora se left turn lena, 72 kms to Jamshedpur. Happy journey.

Asansol, niyamatpur turning, raghunathpur, bokaro, ranchi (take OUTER RING road- don't enter city), simdega, kutra, Jharsuguda, sambalpur, bargarh, Saraipali, Raipur. Thnks for asking, Happy Journey Bro.

Great to hear that you are coming to bhilai. Well, you take the NEAMATPUR turn and straight to Raghunathpur->Bokaro->Peterbar-> Ranchi (Outer Ring Road. Don't enter city for jam) ->Khunti->Kolebira->Simdega->Kutra (don't go towards Birmitrapur, Rourkela) ->Sundargarh->Jharduguda->Sambalpur->Bargarh->Saraipali-> Raipur->Bhilai. From Asansol to Rajganj (Dhanbad) ->Bhabdaridah->Peterbar->Ranchi is another option. You will not find any tolls in Jharkhand, but Carry cash fir one toll between Jharsuguda to Sambalpur (as fast tags are not allowed (₹80/- approx). I faced problem on that toll 2 years back. When you come to Bhilai, surely we will meet. All the BEST. HAPPY JOURNEY.

@@sappayogi7678 exactly last year. But, my youtuber friends have reported that Roads are good now. 7 days back, I came from Durgapur to Bhilai via Bankura-> Baharagora-> Keonjhar road. Distance is almost same, but I observed, it takes a bit longer time compared to Ranchi.

2021 September me travel kiya tha, road construction kahi kahi chal raha tha. Beech me kaafi Narrow road hai, jo choudikaran ho raha tha. Abhibshayad ban kar tayyar ho gaya hai.

Why you did not take keonjhar route ? Any suggestion on kharagpur to sambalpur via keonjhar route ? Is it not good ?

Thanks for your lovely query. I was requested to make a trip to Durgapur Asansil route. The shortest route was Via Ranchi. Kharagpur to Sambalpur road is on NH6, which is good especially the Baharagora patch is well developed. Till Keonjhar, road is good. After Keonjhar, in the mountain area, road work is going on, certain patches are there, but it's ok. By now, it might have been updated. Otherwise, Road is awesome. You may travel on it comfortably. Have you traveled rourkela to ranchi via simdega route recently? Some other videos show that roads have improved a lot . Will be taking that route on my bokaro-rourkela trip soon

Every year during Durga Puja, I used to travel by that route. Means October. By now if the road had changed, that I am not knowing. Again this year during October, I will be moving on this road, then will notice the changes.

@@Subir_Ranjan Ranchi ring road se lodhma k aage 5 km tak road thoda damage hai lekin car k liye thik tha Baki bahut acha road tha Kamdara k bad se SH3 air fir NH 143 to bahut hi acha tha Jharkhand Border tak. Lekin Orissa me vahi NH ka kaam chal raha hai abhi to vo last 1.5 hr thoda kharab tha Total 7.5 hr Bokaro to Rourkela including 1 hour break .
