Beautiful blanket projects, Sandy! I found a new to me podcast that I just love called Stitched by Mrs. D. She is a hoot. She’s been podcasting for over 4 years I think so I decided to go back and watch from the beginning. I am hooked. She lives in England and knits, crochets and sews and is so funny, as are her husband and kids. Enjoy your blanket knitting! 🪻🌷🌸🌻🌹

I love Stitched by Mrs. D. She is great, so talented and so funny. Another great podcast and vlog is Ali from "This Little Wonderful Life" and "Little Drops of Wonderful". One channel is her vlogging channel, and the other is her crafty podcast. She knits, crochets and draws, and is a delight to watch.

So glad you are enjoying your knits again! It's important to love what you are working on. I love the sounds of spring, too. The students just left campus last week, so it's gotten extremely quiet in our area. My home is usually quiet, anyway, except for the birds and the occasional vehicle. I’ll be wishing a very happy time at Knit City and Cakepalooza! That mohair sweater with jumbo stripes will be a wonderful knit and fabulous for Rhinebeck days! I’m a huge mohair fan. Light, and so warm, and keeps the damp away, without over heating you.

I made the Traveler Cowl in fingering weight and it is lovely. It was a pretty quick knit. Her directions are great and you can make it out of any weight of yarn.

Your Jelly Roll blanket is so pretty!! I understand what you are saying about a fingering weight blanket feeling thin but I love to have a couple for the spring and summer

Sandy, I am knitting my third Half and Half Triangle Shawl and I am loving every second of it! It is the never ending knit but what a joy. I set out to make four of them, one for each season….but now that I am almost at the end of my third one, I am not so sure about the fourth one,although I have my yarns already and waiting! Well the future will tell. The Linen Quill is so beautiful and the colours are so so pretty! Thanks for your podcast,it is always a pleasure to listen to.

I made a Tiny Tassels several years ago. Love it! If you want, you can use up as much of the Chelsea Luxe skein as possible, then make the tassels out of odds and ends in your stash. Be warned…the tassels will take a minute! I think mine has over 40…but who’s counting; )

I recently started a Cozy Memories Blanket recently too and it is such a fun knit. Easy and relaxing but I love see it grow and change. I am using fingering weight held double. It is so squishy!!

I use those project folders for my patterns too. I have a hat folder , a shawl/cowl folder and a miscellaneous folder. It is so handy! I wish I could go to Knit City this year! Have a great show!

Nice to see you back! Love your visits. If you want to see some truly gorgeous sweater knitting and yarns to die for, you should visit Helle of Danish Musings podcast. She does a bit of travel vlogging too and has a lovely aesthetic. Her home is beautiful and she always has some interesting book recommendations and quotes. Like you, I have started quite a few blankets, (crochet and knitting) but have never completed one yet! My 4ply cozy memories is at a stage where I could finish as a lap blanket and I might do that. I ripped out my 4 ply jelly roll blanket and started a DK version which I am enjoying much more, and it will use up those scraps faster. I recently found the Zigzag Zen blanket pattern by Anniina Juuti, another one for using up minis and leftovers. I think you might like that one too. I knit a lot of socks, but hoping to knit more sweaters this year if I can. Always enjoy hearing your recommendations. 🩷

Thank you! Yes, I went to Kay Litton (crazy sock lady's Ravelry project page for hers and followed her notes). I'm doubling fingering weight yarn to be a dk weight, using US 5 (3.75mm) needles and I cast on 40 sts for each square.
