The BYD Han is an all-electric luxury car with more than 517 hp. This is a real competitor for the German car market, as competitors cost well over 100,000€ for the same performance and less luxury. In this video we take a look at the BYD Han to see if the German manufacturers should be afraid.

I've never been a big fan of electric vehicles, but this one looks great and I adore the cabin. If I ever find myself in the market for an EV and if they ever decide to bring these here, I'd honestly absolutely consider buying one of them.

Just FYI there is a emerald edition which has a different interior styling and material choices. Good review!

How would you compare this to the KIA ev 6? Interior and performance?

We’ve only done a review of the normal EV6 and I would personally go with the EV6 for the interior as the design just looks more interesting and well done, the tech is better therefore making for a smoother experience. Performance obviously the BYD as you just get way more power. I would however personally chose a EV 6 GT over the BYD as it’s just a more complete product. Really also depends on your needs. (Both start at similar prices)

How is the headlights, does it light up well? And have you tried the BYD seal ?:)

Hey, the headlights are good but not great. Nothing compared to Matrix lights. They are adaptive headlights but they don't work that great, sometimes they don't recognize oncoming traffic (cars that come from left to right are not detected at all). I've not tried the Seal but would sure like to in the future

I'm not sure if I'd describe it as a threat to European manufacturers. From what I've observed, Mercedes and BMW simply have superior quality, technology, and overall quality. I personally own an EQE, and I am astounded by the quality. It goes without saying that you have to purchase a lot of extras to get there, and here is where the Chinese are well ahead because they can make and market their automobiles for much less.

Very true, but I was mainly look at the price and the amount of car you get for that. There really is nothing comparable in the European market at this price range

70k??? you can buy the lowesst trim (which doesn't take away all the features) for 35k in my country (not China. In China its even cheaper)

Welcome to the insane car prices in Germany... The German market is just insane due to Laws and the amount of Germans that will by cars for these prices. Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?

@@NonstopDriving Uzbekistan. So for a car that costs 28k (original price in China) the entire customs (all the fees u pay to bring a car to your country) will be around 6-7k. So 28k purchase, 1-2k logistics, 6-7k customs it costs 35-36k here. The lowest trim BYD Han

What fool would pay €70'000 for a car in Europe, when exact the same car is sold for $30'000 in China. I don't get it how you can be so damn oblivious to the fact, that European BYD car dealers are ripping off the customers. You could have saved your review, only an absolute fan will pay the phantasy price for this China product. You must like to see you talk in a youtube video.
