The interior paint works really well but over time has a tendency to flake and peel. Pick up some bulldog adhesive promoter and it will keep the black from peeling or flaking over time.

Tbh, i personally dont see the reason for corrective hair dying. Im an au natural guy, It just tripping me out when hes got silver one day and then it pitch black the next lol

My only recommendation is when you paint with any Aerosol try to paint with the can vertical. So prop your panel up vertically and not horizontal to get best results. Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps

a tip with painting interiors i would recommend using black plastic primer for any of the hard plastic parts and the vinyl paints for anything that is spongy

For those of you wondering why he had to paint the interior is because, clean black interiors for the sc platform is absolutely impossible to find and when you do find one you're likely to spend nearly a thousand dollars for a complete interior. Though this hurt my eyes too, I understand his options. Having a completely tan sc300.

Got rid of my SC400 ... Trying to find a full black interior cost more than the entire running car.There's guys on the Lexus forum that have YEARS trying to piece together a fully black interior.

@@MING26 just commenting based off what OP said. I know nothing about these cars tbh lol even 1600 doesn't sound so bad if it's actually clean.. I mean if you're trying to make a nice car outta one of these, that's totally worth it, it sounds like. Now 3-4k would be pretty crazy, sure. But let's say 2500 for a full swap in good condition? If it's really that rare, that doesn't sound so bad.

I have the same combo after buying a full black interior last year for my Soarer. Add the Japanese lace seat covers and she now looks superb. Love that pearl white.

Another tip for painting with the duplicolor interior paint/dye is lightly mist it on. If you spray it on too heavy that’s when it starts to look splotchy

Literally me just recognizing all the music playing and it’s making me nostalgic. I haven’t really listened to peep or X a lot in years but I still remember it all and it really brings me back. Not all good memories. The Lord saved me from some horrible things I was getting into, but nevertheless those song are part of my past and literally any time I hear Gus’s or Jahseh’s voices I’m like “bruh! 😂 I know that!”

If you paint the old tan window switches, you could try some vinyl stickers in the stock font or do something different and keep the letters.

I used duplicolor on my car no issue! My prep was scotch bright scrubbing pad, spray bottle of dish soap and water, rubbing alcohol, been on my car over 4 years I did not use flat tends to let the old color bleed through

i might be a little late but wax will keep paint and dye off of anything. if you layer the words very carefully in wax then spray it it should be fine. so long as you wait for the dye to fully dry before you remove the wax it wont smear under the wax

If u take some clear tap , tap the word ... Cut around. Make it look nice then panit it black. When its dry peel it off. Then u get word and its black

You should swap your interior lights for led bulbs. It gives the black interior a cleaner look. I have a 2015 camry that’s all black with the black interior and it’s awesome

What’s the point of properly removing the parts if you’re going to aerosol can it ? That’s like removing your exterior panels and rolling it with house paint . You need some type of dye or catalytic lacquer, it’s just gonna peel

When you're spraying Dupli-Color or almost any paint you don't paint at night time when it's cold out it will gave it that nasty look you have to paint while it's really nice out if you're doing it outside garage style

I know this is old, but hopefully you see it. how well has the paint held up over the years? I have a chance at buying black door cards for my LS400 but if you think the paint holds up really well, I think ill save my money and paint them instead. Whatcha think?
