My female friends through the years have never understood how my marriage worked with us not doing everything together. Why would I make him go do something he doesn’t enjoy? If I want to go to a museum, I go. I’d never expect him to tag along. We have separate hobbies and separate friends because we are different. One female in particular has tried to tell me many time I should make him go places because we are a couple. She has gone through 2 failed marriages and a ridiculous amount of sexual partners and still wants to tell me what we need to do for a our relationship. We will have our 25th anniversary this year.

This is a huge problem, many women think that be sensible and intelligent is an asset in the single market for a 30+yo. No, ladies, when we came back home from work we definitely like comedy, not drama. It's intriguing in our 20s, not anymore after that time, because a drama woman is 99% of times negative-assertive.

No man, ever, has a list that long of what they want and our choices in partners literally prove that everyday 😂

I think women are secretly envious of how little it takes for a man to be truly and genuinely happy. They don't understand that our Hobbies and interests are what keep us happy and productive and in "King-mode". Hence when she's in a relationship with you, she hates all these hobbies and interests because of the time you invest in them, yet she was attracted to you initially because of those hobbies. Now you give those up and you step out of King-Mode and she slowly loses respect for you. Patrice O'Neal spoke about this with his Fishing analogy.

@@naomiconley9884 Your comment was very insightful, except to project your feelings on others. Nonetheless it holds merit. 1)Maybe explore why you think (not feel) why he has to talk/say these things to you. Can you you accept constructive criticism? I tell my techs all the time to not come to me for help if you cannot handle being corrected. This is usually what men have to deal with on a daily basis. 2) To avoid your own reality, your projecting you "feelings". No one said they were hurt. Deep down you may be because you feel like the positive reinforcement from your man may be a lie to avoid conflict. It's understandable because it's the chaotic nature of the female mind. Thank you for sharing.

@@naomiconley9884 I think you're reading too much into this. Trust your boyfriend, unless he has specifically given you reason not to trust him. And you say you trust him very much, but if a fairly generic statement like this causes you so much worry, then for whatever reason, I'm inclined to believe that you DON'T actually trust him very much. That could be him, that could be your past, but you can deal with it today. Perhaps anxiety is causing you to feel doubt. When that happens to me, I focus on how my boyfriend behaves to bring me back to "reality." Men generally are "what you see is what you get," and scrutinizing for analysis every move they make is just making yourself crazy, which benefits no one. I trust my boyfriend to speak up and tell me when something is wrong, just like he should expect me to directly voice my own needs in clear terms. If he acts happy, then I'm going to assume he's happy. And he can assume the same of me. I guarantee that most mature men do not sit around ruminating on these things the way some women tend to do. It's a hard habit to break, but it can be done. Don't laugh, but I highly recommend "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" by Dr. Laura Schlesinger. It helped me "grow up" with regard to my views toward men. It really changed my life. It also helped me raise three sons to become good men. Good luck and may God bless you.

It’s crazy how a lot of women want their men to do these types of outing such as going to art shows, poetry shows, watch chick flicks, etc. But when these same women are with their girl friends, they would prefer to go to bars, nightclubs, or any place that could possibly put their relationship to the test. Most of it is because this country has inflation combined with wage stagnation worse than in the 1970s. An average worker would be paid 370k in 2021 money if wages kept pace from the 1970s. (Yes the 1970s where there was incredible stagflation). If you are not a white male above 80 you probably have not yet been paid a living wage in your lifetime. 100k is a round number women without mathematical understanding can cling to. Issue remains, because degreed women also dont make enough to live a life.

A man will tolerate an overweight or a little tough in the face woman if she isn’t entitled and arguing about the most insignificant details every moment of every day but instead being inspirational and supportive. The same way a man (right or wrong) will tolerate a little more attitude from 8-10 women. At the end of of the day, it’s about being good people for the right things sake. There shouldn’t have to be an incentive to be a pleasant person to be around and BW just REFUSE to accept that. Simply Being pleasant, smiling, having a soft voice and not trying to die on every hill can net even the most offensive looking of 49ers a decent hard working man.

Ooooo, Im a woman and I have the perfect example of this! In middle school, a Spanish boy moved to my school and he was handsome to me. So, I decided to try to get to know this boy better. So I asked him to teach me Spanish. He chose to teach me the Spanish word for “flower”. So I looked around the room and saw no flowers at all, so my mind thought “He must be calling me a flower!!” So of course I developed an even bigger crush on him. Well, fast forward a few weeks later, I find out he was dating someone from his old school and he probably just saw me as a (friendly) academic rival. Oh well. At least my grades improved that year cause I was competing with him.

The “I feel like” phrase is so annoying. I feel like I shouldn’t have been born into a poor environment riddled with violence. But REALITY is that I had to make best with what I had accrued. That’s life. Life is unfair, but who am I to put that on the next person? There are plenty of black, poor people who have become rich and famous. That’s life, deal with it. The abundant life here on earth is not for everyone. Everyone is so concerned about living their “best life” here on earth. I honestly believe my best life will be in heaven, and I made my life fairly comfortable here on earth considering where I came from. People need to start developing a relationship with God. That’s a major part of the problem. The 50s and earlier days had an a unit families who were led by God. And because people have grown away from Him, this is part of what you get in return, confusion.

@@aria4141 I dont get the fascination of women and money. If you are young, you should be looking at character and upward potential. My wife and I got married at 25 years old, both penniless college graduates. She was smart, as was I, but we both had almost no income. We are talking less than 20k each starting out. Fast forward 15 years and we are both making solid 6 figure incomes. Marry the potential, not the current value. Also, try to marry someone who doesnt piss you off at all, because after 15 years, those little "quirks" get amplified dramatically.

YES!!! More and more women are GRAVITATING toward KEVIN, and he is RIGHT ON POINT. I am a 74- years- young-widow, who was RAISED UP by GOD FEARING parents. They were married from 1946 until 1991 when my MOM transitioned. The ONLY time you should get advice from a woman, is if she is a PROVERBS 31 woman who KNOWS who she is. Bottom line: FOLLOW HIM as he FOLLOWS JESUS CHRIST, then you can have "...the DESIRES of your HEART..." Your DESIRES will be PLEASING to your man, when you are WALKING it and not TALKING it...!

For years I’ve told women that it’s funny how they have lots of requirements for men who have options, and those requirements are important... but, if he says “making me a sandwiches and meals regularly is important to me”, then he is behind the times.
@SSingh-nr8qz

I never understood that. A good meal is important for life, but somehow sexist these days to ask. No one is saying it's a requirement, but a woman that enjoys cooking while I work makes me want to work harder for her. I work hard, and my reward is a good meal. The counter response would be. Well i work too. Yeah, that is not alway a good thing. two adults working all the time and can't feed themselves except takeout, and the house is a mess. Just a corporate slave. That is nothing to be proud of.
