i just bypassed my o2 sensor, because of my damaged catalytic converter, and i cant find any replacement for it. that's why I do this to my O2 sensor

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you use a larger capacitor? Say a 4.7 or even a 10uf

Hi there, I was doing similar to yours, but instead of using potentiometer i'm using normal resistor (1M ohm ) and 12V 5.5 uf capacitor. after I drove 10 minute" engine light "ON" its saying " slow respond" on my scanner I have Honda odessey 03. can you please tell me why is showing slow respond ? Thank you in advance.

Thats why you need a potentiometer resistor my friend, as far as i can remember, it is because the reading in your o2 sensor is 0 and it takes too long to go up. Thats why you need a potentiometer to adjust it. How to see it if it reaches 0.4v? is you have to use a scanner while driving or at idle.

Hi Aran, I could not get an adjustable potentiometer like the one John Roy describes in his video. Instead my friend got me a ( 90 degree 02 sensor spacer extender adapter bung extension catalytic converters). And it works I drive since and until now the code hasn’t come back . Thank God.

I did the same procedure and now hit error high voltage P0158, P0138. 1M ohm resistor 1mf capacitor. Why is that please help.

Potentiometer resistor would help.

It Works for all rpms ir only for idle?

Not steady on all rpm, but eill not go beyond your desired readings.. until now my car has no sign of check engine

1 m ohm resistor for 2nd gen prius. bank 1 sensor 2. 1 uf 50v capacitor too.

I have. But it seems for me to get rid of P0420, but add P0137 low voltage. I'm going to try 2.2 capacitor with 1 m ohm R It's been difficult. I will check for exhaust leak between bank 1 and bank 2 sensor also with soapy spray.

@@danielmalloy6093 try to look for potentiometer, that adjusrible resistor might help finding its sweet spot avoid those 2 codes
