I love having two legitimate routes with Byzantines between a hard Feudal push like this against passive civs or to counter hyper aggression, and the longer eco build

I still prefer the Hippodrome over the Grand Winery. The advantage in tempo you get from having the first units on the field is worth more to me than the one extra batch of mercs you get from your starting berry bush.

i agree, tho ive been forced to put down the winery vs ottoman a ton after the most recent patch.

I have a question. Does the first cistern have to be on the opposite side of the TC as the gold mine, or does the second cistern have to cover the berries? In this case, your gold mine was next to your berries, but I've seen spawns where they were on different sides of the TC. Do I just try to cover as many resources as possible in the cistern auras?

People are having a very hard time countering the Ottoman Bombard push. It is very OP and is literally done with free units. Would love to see a video about this. If you could do it for civs that do not have a culverin unit it would be even better. Byzantines for example.

Sadly culverin doesnt help that much and die easily considering their price.....I try to go RUS vs otoman or as Byz go archers and man of arms push all in. I either win or loose any way but few Otomans can survive a good longbow varangian push

Hi Valdemar, a request: can you please help us understanding how to deal with Ottomans in Imperial? As a mid-level player (high plat) I feel like everything I do doesn't work against the bombards, are there any tips you can give us to learn how to deal with it? My best tip is to win vs ottoman before imperial. I almost never get to Imperial in my games because I play more methodically and actively think about my tempo in my decision making, therefore, my games are usually way below the average game length of 22 mins. Ottomans are strong in all ages but they have a rough time against players who either feudal rushes or castle rushes. Because of their time spent ramping up, they are behind in units from min 3-7:30

strong build, but I am curious what if we play against knight civ, their knights are obviously gonna kill your horsemen (even with triumph), should we build barracks instead of archer range?

Hi Valdemar, Question outside of the video's meaning. But I use to have GPU temp issues back when this game came out - a bit early in its life, I fixed this issue by capping my frame rate to 60 and my GPU temps would be stable well below 65c or so. But now, Even with the same exact CPU and graphics options and my frame rate capped at 60 I'm non stop peaking at like 83c. If I allow my GPU to get hotter via a slider threshold on my software it will easily hit 90c. This never happened before if I capped my frame rate, But now it seems to do nothing? Is there any way to fix this issue? And no This doesn't happen on any other games, Only AOE4 will push my GPU to insane temps.

Aoe4 does draw a lot of gpu power and I run aoe4 with a 3080 + 12700i7. I recommend looking for help with professionals 🙂

you can have multiple cisterns. first cistern has to go on sheep/berries/ wood or gold. and then u build more later on in my opinion, try to get most value @@theflyingsamuraii

Byz has none during fuedal so u need only a little for upgrades@@theflyingsamuraii
