C-6 BUSHING INSTALL, BUILT THE PUMP, AND CLUTCH PACKS. I was able to recover this from a trans I rebuilt. the teardown is on my channel there will be another on soon.

I’m looking for the inch and a half seal I found in the pan that now won’t let me shift into second and third. Grrrr

I appreciate the video, but if I didn't already half-ass know what the pieces were, and what you were doing, I'd be in a fog bank. The only dialog, is basically: Ok; Alright; all of that; uh huh. I gave you a thumbs up though, as I'm sure you could have been doing something else you would rather be doing. Thanks...

Question regarding the two bushings that install at the rear of the case. One has grooves, the other is smooth. Which one goes to the rear of the case? I guess with that, do those tabs or cut-outs need to be in a specific spot? Don't see any ports that they would be cut-out for.

Based on the length of the output shaft in your next reassembly video it looks like that C6 is going into a 4X4. Why would you only install 3 frictions in the high clutch drum? C6's in car applications typically have only 3, truck's 5 frictions from the factory. You can get kits from Alto to fit 5 frictions if you don't have a truck drum.

great video! would is there a specific bushing install kit you use ? I cant seem to find one that would fit the bushings ? again awesome work my man!

BTW, what metal is your punch for driving out the bushings? Is it softer than the bushings? Just curious since you are working in some tight spaces and could damage some of the surfaces. Thanks.

With the after market plastic sprag do you discard the two original snap rings and plastic washer? Are any snap rings used to hold the sprag?

+Rod Owens the plastic replacement has a lock made in so you discard the snap ring and washer

Hi, awesome video and great work. I'm looking at rebuilding my C6 and wanted to know what size bearing/seal/bush drifts I will need to install the required bushes. Thanks in advance.

am not sure I have a complete set and I just use the one that fits, how ever I will check and see if I can get the size and get back to you very soon thank you for your time to view the video

I see many driver kits. 50 piece is what i'm looking at. all have beveled/chamfered edges. do yours? for the bushings I would think square edges would be best. your opinion?

Hey! Great videos, really helpfull! What torque number do you use for the pump assembly, internal and external bolts? Any other fasteners that really require specific torque? valvebody assembly and or govenor? Many thanks from Sweden

the inner pump bolts are 18ft.lb. the outer is 20 ft.lb. the valvebody is 120in. lb. governor is the same as valvebody

hi Robert my question is the placement of the 10 springs in the rear clutch assembly? thanks (great video)

the springs should be retained on the spring retainer and were it meets the piston is smooth so location is not a big deal. that is for the low rev. clutch pack at the bottom of the case

what clutches and steals did you use? also what are some good mods for these transmissions to handle more power and any possible oiling grades for this transmissions to inprove oil flow?

I used Raybestos clutches this was a stock rebuild, and this is a good reliable replacement, the steels are also Raybestos brand I have used others with no issues. as far as up grades for more power first you need to conceder how much power.Transmissions are rated in torque the c-6 in stock forum is rated at 475 ft.lb. With that being said more is always better, the after market is full of upgrades you may wont to start with clutches and steels Alto clutches and coated steels this will give you a firmer shift feel also billet forward drum and piston to hold more clutches a wider band and billet band servo with cover will help. remember the more you upgrade the harsher the shift and load on the rest of the drivetrain. u joints will become your weak link bigger u 'joints will mean bigger driveshaft. as far as oiling upgrades a good shift kit bigger boast valve, a good cooler, and a lager pan. with that being said I would spend my money on the cooler and lines as far as oil flow. there is a lot more you can do but this will get you well over the 700 ft., lb. mark how far do you really want to go?

What is the blue stuff, looks like grease? Also, what is that Mopar cleaner you're using?

+Jesse Smith the blue stuff is trans gel used to lube orings and seals , and yes mopar brake cleaner I found it on sell at a good deal and bought a lot of it

you really should be wearing gloves though with that chemical exposure...our skin is the largest organ it absorbs a lot.

it depends on witch trans you are working on the c6 has 3 clutch packs, and a band
