Much respect to Chanhyuk for expressing love to his mom that way. It is quite expressive for Koreans (or Asians for that matter) but he looks very close to his mom.

Chanhyuk I am so happy you are making great memories with your mother. I miss mine every day. I remember I used to go lie down beside her, and we would talk, or I would put my finger on her nose and tell her mom I love you and kiss her on her cheek. Those memories will be written in my heart forever. This made me tear up thinking of my mom ty for making me smile a little. I love it when people spend time with their mother or father, making lots of memories. Please take lots of pictures of your parents too so you can cherish those moments when they are faded. I also lost my mother at the age of 15. My little sister was 11 and my older sister was 19. She died due to a heart attack and till this day, I feel sad that I don’t have a best friend or a mother anymore. 🎀 I’m happy for those who have a mother by their side and who supports them but all I have is my sisters. 💗

its because of the culture. asian mostly not that affectionate towards family members especially mother-son and father-daughter. me myself from malaysia, its quite rare but exist to see an affectionate family

You can just say that their family is more affectionate compared to others. Using "Asian" and "because of culture" here is not a good example.
