Striker VX is always good vs Armor and Buildings and fares terribly vs infantry. Twinblades are like all purpose damage dealing support aircraft. It can fare well on its own. Good vs all to be honest and I like spamming this unit a lot. Now Crycopters The most broken unit in RA3. Theyre maybe just support units but their value scales way far than many ordinary player thinks. Like Shrinking the Apocalypse Tank and can be crushed by normal tanks. Or Shrinking a King Oni on a Bull Charge, the King Oni will die if it hits a building or a large vehicle. Or Shrinking a Riptide with Tanya and Engineers to quickly destroy or disable a base?! How about Freezing your units and buildings and theyre all 1 hit K.O.? Nah its " BALANCED"!! What else?! Its limitless!!

I hardly ever saw cryocopters when I played PvP. I had no idea how good they were. This testing could make someone think the twinblades are underwhelming, but it's all about that rocket barrage alpha damage with hit & run tactics.

Twinblades are just good, all around useful and hard to go wrong with. Cryocopters can be very OP, but require a good skill, they are not something you can spam. VX have interesting ability, but for me their low speed and weak armor makes them the worst of choppers.

The cryocopter is useless in dealing damage on it's on so i guess its only fair it has a companion peacekeeper.

VX: Versatile, good against armored targets and structures, weak against infantry, slow, not so durable. Twinblade: Powerful rocket barrages which those strong against anything and suitable to hit and run tactics, disposes infantry fast, more durable than VX but cannot attack aerial targets so less versatile in terms of attack but can transport infantry / vehicle, faster than VX. Cryocopter: Can disable / make vulnerable any ground or sea unit, fast as twinblade and faster than VX, the most durable helicopter, lacks destructive / killing power on its own, special support unit, cannot attack aerial targets.

Were these tests done with the missile barrage upgrade? If not - VX might be significantly more powerful.

Normally I play as the Allies so, I don't have too much an issue with Cryocopters. But, in a campaign mission playing the Rising Sun. A couple of my attacks failed because of those freezing devils.

Cryocopter + Best allied unit. + Frozen enemies are instantly turned into a 1 shot, stunned unit + Shrink Ray can make an MCV crushable even with your harvester, or making a tank's HP low enough that a javelin can destroy a hammer tank in 2 barrages. - No self defense. - Must be accompanied by an AA army like IFVs loaded with Javelins or just IFVs alone with nothing inside them - Must bring something to destroy the frozen stuffs. VX + The only one of these that can attack air units in the Striker form + When threatened by air units, it can transform to dodge it's fire, or even kill the fighter. + Insane DPS in massive numbers with the Advanced Rocket Pods upgrade - Expensive as hell - Transformation have a long cooldown - Striker form cannot shoot while moving, unlike Bullfrogs and IFVs.

Brutal AI using cryocopter is annoying af specially if you have less anti air than needed.

Can you transport bullfrog with infantry in Twinblade and also will Twinblade pickup both transport and infantry if both transport and infantry get simultaneus order to get in tp the vehicle, will it get both ?

Twinblade and bulldog combo is versatile against everything except AA defense, great in numbers and Kirovs as tanks or ground units Cyro copter is actually OP, very high health and if frozen it any unit can one shot the enemy VX is meh, Tengu is better

Cryocopter: Has the most HP and is the most expensive. It can't kill units on its own so it does require more skill to use properly than the other two. Use correctly it is deadly since its freezing takes effect very quickly. Its SHRINK beam can allow easier kills since shrunken units take less time to freeze. VX: Has the most anti-tank firepower on its own, though it's also the slowest. Since it can transform it can go to Striker Mode to avoid AA air units. That said, Strike Mode makes it the worst AA unit since it can't fire while moving away from its target while also costing and being higher on the tech tree than the IFV and Bullfrog. Twinblade: Packs weapons to deal with anything on the ground though it's rockets have a long cooldown time so it helps to mindful of when they will fire. It has a lot of utlity as raiding, anti armor, and as a transport. In practice most players find the Cryocopter to be the most useful if you can micro it properly. As long as you have something like a Vindicator to knock out whatever they freeze then most anything they come across will die. Its SHRINK Beam renders enemies even easier to freeze while the speed boost can allow you to use Prospectors to expand into areas you wouldn't be able to otherwise. Plus it can benefit from Advanced Aeronautics and High Technology.

Twinblades (aka flying tanks) made the game so unbalanced. They demolish Tech 3 infantry, tanks, structures, at a unfairly fast past. They're also cheap to build, travel fast, can carry tanks or infantry, and are build-able at the beginning of the game. Those, and Rocket Angels, should've never been included in the game. You literally spam those, and the entire map is secure. But meh, its 12+ year old game, and the worst C&C ever made. So yeah, who cares i guess.

I hate this game so imbalance Unlike company of heroes well balanced, you can even choose a commander suites your playstyle
