I could understand how the ml felt, because he was being betrayed and used by the government with false promises. He was also trapped in a strange world without anyone he know, lost and under stress with his strong ability that might make him lost control anytime. The fact that he finally found someone that able to keep him afloat and tried to accept slowly into his life by marrying them even if that person was from the government that imprisoned him there. Even if he felt unaware of how deep his feeling was until it was too late. He tried his best because he want to go home. Maybe he married the fl because he felt hopeless already about going home and tried to settle down with the one thing that kept his insanity by bay.
