Wait is it normal for it to do that arythmic choked sound? I'm not an expert in thingamajigs, doodads and gizmos but if I were to guess an engine should make a smoother uniform sound

That is a hit and miss governed engine that is the was they work, when it is loaded it will work more steady!!

I don’t know what kind of pulley was on it , but I had thought during the video a nice 6” diameter / 6” wide pulley might look nice on there potentialy a little safer too unsure of that definitely. Nicely bent pipe work on there 👍🏻
