Performed & arranged for solo accordion by Dimitris Anousis
This is the well known composition of the great Carlos Gardel in an amazing professional made arrangement by the accomplished accordionist, pianist, composer and arranger Dimitris Anousis. Made from an accordionist for accordionists, written in a understandable and correct way for the accordion, with original parts of introduction, solo(s) & cadenzas, but also to have an orchestral feeling while playing, not for the piece to sounds "poor". Ideal for all kinds of recitals, events and not only. Appropriate for advanced students.
This is an all time standard piece which I love very much!

This arrangement is included in the album "Expectations", a set of original new compositions and older arrangements for solo accordion (2022) as a bonus track. Those pieces are a journey around the world with my accordion and they belong to a variety of musical genres that I love. @@DimitrisAnousis it's easy to play a nice "Por una Cabeza" with orchestra but extremely difficult to find out a decent performance with solo accordion. This is really #1. There are no better "por una cabeza" solo accordion performances around, doesn't matter the name of the accordionist. And ...incredible...when I play it, people remain astonished ...Thank you soo much Dimitris....

Brillante. Utiliza los bajos muy coordinados y eso es muy dificil. Los que tocan vallenatos y corridos mexicanos no los utilizan.

@@DimitrisAnousis You did one of the most difficult things to do in this particular tango..... You maintained the same speed throughout -- not easy to do considering the radical difference in cadence between the first part and the second!

Very nicely played. Just try to change the registers from time to time to give more richness to the song. I play the same tune although I am a complete self-learner and you must be an academic I assume. Regards
