The Department of Psychiatry , GMC Anantnag, conducted its first ever Continuing Medical Education (CME) at the Main campus Dialgam , today on 3/7/2024 .The CME was themed to be “PSYCHIATRY IN GENERAL PRACTICE “ and was chaired by The respected Principal Ma’am, Prof.Dr Rukshana Najeeb along with Leaders in Psychiatry including Prof (Dr) Mushatq A Margoob ( Ex. HOD , GMC Srinagar) , Prof(Dr)Mohammad Maqbool Dar (HOD Psychiatry , GMC Srinagar ) ,Dr Majid Shafi Shah (Consultant Psychiatrist/ In-charge NMHP, DHSK Srinagar) and with the esteemed Panel of dignitaries including Prof (Dr) Mohd Ashraf Teli(Professor Radiation Oncology GMC Anantnag), Prof (Dr) Mumtaz u din Wani,( Prof. Dept. The event was Graced by eminent speakers including Prof (Dr) Yasir Hassan Rather (Head of Unit, Dept. of Psychiatry, GMC Srinagar, Dr. Tajamul Hussain (Head of Department, Dept. of Psychiatry, GMC Baramulla), Dr. Rehana Amin(Head of Department, Dept. of Psychiatry, GMC Handwara) and ), Dr. Fazal E Roub(Lecturer, Dept. of Psychiatry, GMC Srinagar) who delivered expert insights on a wide range of topics that were informative and interactive at the same time.
The organising secretary, Dr. Mansoor Ahmad Dar(HOD Psychiatry , GMC Anantnag) and the joint organising secretary Dr. Javid Sheikh (Consultant Dept of Psychiatry , GMC Anantnag) were successful in attracting registrations of 150 Delegates including Delegates from far off districts of Kashmir and 3 credit points from the respected JK Medical council.
