Over production capacity works in a different way. For any investment in plant and machinery there is a breakeven point. The breakeven point for production is the level of capacity utilisation that must be achieved to not make a profit nor loss taking into account the cost and generated revenue. When a project report is prepared to present to the financial institutions and prospective investors this plays a very big part in getting them on board. . The entire Chinese industrial finance system is so extremely stacked in favour of lenders that the break even point for 90+% of factories is in excess of 85 - 90 %. No factory in the world can sustain this even for a year should the orders start drying up. None of these large scale manufacturers are working on such profit levels that would permit them to get slack.

As citizens we dont have visibility into our foreign policy. But it seems few years we aligned with west and again making moves with brics. Media we keep hearing Chinese occupying Ladakh and constructing roads in no mans land. We keep talking peace to them buying more time to them. We again moving away from west and trying to align more with Russia, Iran even China. Our foreign policy with Chinese we are back to 50s. Does this govt has focus, priorities to what. Seems bjp and RSS lacks consensus. Seems like which ever side rope moves, they make policy to align with that, rather derailed. It is dangerous and we lose friends. India, US, Israel, France etc make great partners. But again China which is same as Nehru -Menon policy.

Just watched elsewhere. Their so called state of the art "latest and the best" aircraft carrier takes 48 hours to build up enough steam to even start moving. It has already developed huge cracks on ts deck. It uses 3 different types of fuels for helicopters, planes and the main engine. Run out of one and it is crippled. Their latest frigates are sitting ducks as they are too slow to keep up with their slow carriers. If it increases the power of its Gallium Arsenide radar its speed drops to15 knots. The list of extreme shortfalls is endless. Only thing they can do is provide VERY SMART uniforms and perform very well choreographed and synchronised parades. But that is about it. A small Philippine supply ship scraped against a Chinese naval vessel and 3 holes appeared on its side. Wonder what would have happened had these hole been below water level. A guess even a RPG explosion against the hull and under the water level would sink it. No missile OR torpedo needed. It is "water displacement" and not "water dispersion". It in theory is the weight of the same volume of water as the volume of the part of the vessel that is below the water line.
