Cycling adventure along the historic Chesapeake & Ohio Canal (C&O Canal) Trail. I started my adventure in Harpers Ferry towards Cumberland. As I pedal along the well-maintained towpath, I enjoy the beauty of the C&O Canal, surrounded by lush forests. Passing historic blockhouses, aqueducts, and beautiful dams on the Potomac River. Traveling through some of the trail's unique features, like the Paw Paw Tunnel, a marvel of 19th-century engineering.

Thomas, I enjoy your videos so much. The beauty of nature, how you pick out all the birds including their calls and especially how positive you are about everything, you are an inspiration with your remarkably upbeat attitude. Thank you

C&O Canal is one of my favorites. I've done the first part to Harpers Ferry three times but the second half was still missing. Now I have completed all away to Pittsburgh. Great trail. 👍

Nice ride. Awesome bridge to start too. Super cool. That was a nice riverside trail. Cool to see the mill and all the locks along the way. Lots of history on that route. Long day and miles. Well done. Have a great day.

The C&O Canal Trail is great. There are free hiker / biker campsites every 4-5 miles or so. At this time I rode from Harper's Ferry to Cumberland. Now I have finished the all trail from Washington DC to Pittsburgh PA 335 miles.

These old canals were built in the early 18'ds before the railroad era. Glad they turned them into beautiful bike trails.

This section was very cool. I was surprised by the number of free camping options. My friends and I did four! days bikepacking in Vermont in August and loved it. We have decided to do Pittsburgh to DC next year. Thanks for sharing

Wow what great views! That one part was rough, glad you did not fall! We want to take the Amtrak to Harpers Ferry someday. This trail looks really nice! Love it! Yeah $39 for shower not worth using the camp ground. Too bad you were not close to a truck stop, could've used their showers for like $13

It's an easy trail but in that spot I chose the upper narrow passage, you don't want to fall from there. Thanks and have a great day!

Thanks for the Memories.. My first time biking the C&O was in 2014.. Cumberland to DC.. I heard there changing the trail over to Crushed Limestone I hope they don't.. I stayed at Little Orleans in 2019.. It was a lot cheaper then.. New Owners.. In 2019 Harpers Ferry to Pitt camped every night.. Never a Bad Day on the Trail..

I like crushed limestone surface a smoother ride. Yes, Little Orleans campground was $39 too much for the shower. It's a beautiful trail. 👍
