Ok quick Tim Burton theory: In beetlejuice, Lydia Deetz’s mother’s name is Emily. Now this is just a random theory, probably not true. I don’t know if it was mentioned in the movie or not, but Tim told the creators of the musical her name was Emily, and in beetlejuice the musical, the first song, “prologue: invisible”, you can tell it takes place at the funeral of Lydia’s mother, mentioned as Emily Deetz. Remember, this doesn’t fit PERFECTLY and is probably not true. Anyway, I feel like since Charles was never really over Lydia’s mother, this was a hallucination or dream or something he had about him marrying Emily as a corpse. Somehow his name turned out to be victor. Anyway, again, this is probably not true, just for the people who get pressed on people’s theories for some reason. 😃
