Driven this road 3 times. Breathtaking.... In a few years .... I'll drive it again. And drive the route between Silverton and Ourway. Love the Colorado Rockies. My dad like this song. Soon he'll be gone this will be a good reminder of him.

I used to drive truck for a living and I've been up and down both directions on Wolf Creek pass thank God I was pulling a empty flatbed

In 1947 this was a rock gravel narrow road. At night it was slow running in a 35 Ford. Passing the trucks was really iffy. They were usually down to about 5mph back in that day and the road had icy places back then all year round.

That is a very beautiful pass in the summer, but in the winter it's a little scary.
