Күн бұрынC5 Corvette TPMS Training/Reset is simple to do by yourself. You may need to do this if you install new sensors or if an existing sensor needs to be reset for some reason. Following the instructions on the C5 Corvette DIC screen helps program the C5 Corvette TPMS sensors.

Could be the case. Especially if they're original sensors. I left a link for Rock Auto in the description. Prices are always fluctuating, but they're normally the best price

Great to see another upload from you Dave and this subject is/was definitely worth showcasing! Let me ask you, aren't the TPMS sensors generation specific? In other words, you're not going to get the sensors from let's say a set of C7 wheels that you've put your C5 to link up. That's it for now. Save the Wave👋

You are correct. C5 sensors aren't even the same throughout the generation. 97-00 are different sensors than 01-04. Funny how they do that. The C5Z didn't even come with sensors, only a guage and fix a flat kit. Didn't get to see you after the April Takeover so hope all is well buddy.

That's interesting that the Senors are not even standardized through the generation. I never knew that. As to the C5 ZO6, I always wondered why they showed a pressure and a fix-a-flat kit. But thought it was a good idea and just a GM upgrade because of the price of a Z. Yeah, I was kind'a out of the loop after April with a lot of "stuff" going on. Made it to Carlisle but had to cut my stay short. Got dehydrated and borderline heat-stroke. Haven't been right since. I won't missing waving goodbye to 2021. Hope you and the family are okay and doing well. Save the Wave👋

@YellowVette04, thanks for the tutorial. I gave it a try and was able to reprogram the front two tires but not the back two. Do you think disconnecting the battery will help?

This video was recorded back in April 😂. It's starting to get cold out. Last week was the first week in awhile I didn't drive it at least once and that was bc of the temps. Suppose to be a little warm next weekend so we'll see. I've been watching your progress on IG, good luck with all that buddy

Question I have 2003 but on the door it said 30 psi you run then higher ?

I just go 1-2lbs over for the cold mornings when the pressure really drops. Even on hot days at highway speeds the pressure doesn't build up that much. Just laziness on my part since I hate waiting for the air pumps at the local gas stations lol, so that 1-2lbs holds me over for several months and it won't hurt anything.

Is the oil pressure gauge supposed to be at 40 or only once u heat the engine up and start driving

Yes, the pressure should go up to about 40 when you start the car, if you have stock oil pump. I didn't start the car during this video, only turned the key to the ON position.

The wheels are MRR M755. I have a video of the sizes i got. They come in different colors, but I got black and then had them powder coated locally so I could pick the color. Plus the guy was going to do the new color for less than the cost of MRR. The color is Triple Bronze from Prismatic Powder.

This is true. Came with a pressure guage and a fix a flat kit from the factory if I remember correctly.

So are you saying if I buy new tire sensors and get them installed in the wheels, there is absolutely no software program needed for the computer to recognize/learn the sensors other than what you did in the video.? What brand sensors dd you purchase?

That's correct. Schrader and picked them up from Rock Auto. They had the best deal at the time. Link in the video description of it still works.

I'm not sure to be honest. Checking the Corvette Forum might have more options for sensors. Your year will depend which sensor as well. I think older C5s may not be able to use the same sensors as newer C5s. Mine is an 04, so check to make sure the Schrader sensors are compatible with your year.

@@YellowVette04 Ya, I have an 04 Corvette as well. The link you sited for the sensors takes you to the Rock Auto page with the sensor but no option to buy and when I searched for those same part numbers it doesn't take you to the corresponding part number so I'm a bit confused.

If you have the correct sensors for your year and have a strong enough magnet then it'll work. If not, you'll need the tire shop to program them. Thanks for watching and commenting

C5Z doesn't have TPMS. Not sure if you can add it or not. I think Jamal's Garage may have a video on this, but I'm not sure

Bro how do like the wheels I'm thinking about getting the same ones just gloss black tho. how's the ride with 18" 19" i was thinking bout getting 19" 20".

Love the wheels and gloss black is a standard color so you'll be fine there. I also did some suspension work at the same time, so overall the ride is sportier and less floaty. I found the stock ride to be very soft, so now it feels like it should. That's a combo of everything so hard to say how much the wheels changed the ride. If you want to see how 19 20 looks on a C5, check out WorkingWithWimberley on KZfaq or IG, he had these wheels in that size.

How that fuck do I find the place to put the magnet? It’s pissing me off I be trying for an hour to do this shit and I can’t I just can’t, one time it worked in the first tire but then the screen went to FOB TRAINING again, idk what to do
