Thanks! You can tell if you need a holder for the lifters when you spin the cam around to push them up in the trays. Just use a pushrod to check the resistance by pushing them back down. I didn't need one on this engine, they had good tension still.

Thanks for reply. Last question, how did you line the timing marks up on the crank without removing the oil pump? I’m in the middle of this job and I can’t see the crank gear to see if I’m in time.

Thanks, this cam would work. It's a little on the bigger side of what you are looking for but is very drivable. It's a 233 239 duration .600 lift. You could also drop down a size to a 228 232 .600

I went to Texas Speed's website and tried to find this cam in kit form (with springs and push rods etc) but could only the cam as a stand alone purchase. Did you but it as a kit or did you have to put the kit together yourself? I sent an email to TS but they have yet to respond.
